Can Trump finally beat aids?

Glad to see enough progress has happened over the decades that conservatives have gone from celebrating AIDS to thinking it should be eradicated.

Conservatives were always opposed to aids, in reality. They failed to beat it back in the 1980's as libs fought proposed commonsense regulations on taking it in the ass- which was identified pretty early as the main cause for the ailment.

As usual, you're a liar.

It was George W. Bush who initiated the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief in Africa. That was a a landmark U.S. aid initiative that has saved the lives of millions across Africa.

Obama on the other hand, scaled back that program to many countries, including South Africa, Namibia and Botswana.

"Activists are expressing disappointment with President Barack Obama's plans for the Aids treatment programme in Africa, charging that he has fallen short of the achievements of his predecessor, George W. Bush.

"President Obama has all but failed to fulfil his commitments to wage an aggressive battle against global Aids," a coalition of Aids-focused groups declared last week, assigning him a grade of D+ for his performance to date."

The late, great Senator Jesse Helms was also a key figure in the battle against aids. Because of Helms' tremendous friendship with the Irishman Bono, tremendous progress was made. In the earliest days, when aids was at its peak popularity, Helms used the bully pulpit of the Senate to discourage people from engaging in Sodomy which he identified as a top cause for the Gay Plague.

Progress came to Dubya, yes. I'm glad conservatives are no longer celebrating AIDS and the deaths it causes as they once used to.

Conservatives cheered AIDS as an intervention from Jesus, and hoped it would slaughter as many as it could.

Care to source where they did that?

Are you kidding? That's like asking for a source on the sky being blue. It's common knowledge.

It is Common Knowledge that Lefties throw out bullshit like this constantly, then when challenged to identify a source, they come up with some crackpot in the hills of Alabama that no one ever heard of.

So you can't source it then. You could have just said so. Usually, when someone says something like, "everyone knows", or, "it's common knowledge", it's anything but. I’ve literally never heard anyone celebrate AIDS and AIDS deaths.
