Can the Media be Biased Against Trump?

You can accomplish a lot when you don't have to deal with an opposition party obsessed with making you a one term president and refusing to cooperate on anything
Takes two to tango. Obama signaled early on that he had no intention of compromising.

You can't tango when the other partner refuses to take the floor

Republicans vowed they would not support Obama on ANY initiative. Their record reveals they didn't
What do you expect when one of the president's first statements was that they can come along for the ride, but they have to sit in the back of the bus, followed by completely ignoring them while ramming obamadon'tcare through?

Republicans met with the new President and started giving terms...they were put in their place

Republicans were urged and invited to participate in the development of Obamacare. They refused and as a result got nothing
Semantics. Obama signaled that he was unwilling to compromise on anything, and didn't.

Obama compromised on the stimulus package. He set aside half the stimulus as tax cuts, he gave the stimulus money to the states to distribute...all to appease Republicans

Not a single Republican voted for it

Well, it seems to make sense that amounts donated to the Clinton campaign should indicate a preference for her over her opponent. So, who donated what?

Story with links @ Solid Evidence That The Media Is Biased Against Donald Trump

What's really shameful is what the Clinton Foundation spends that money on - like wiping out malaria.

Don't get me wrong. I really do feel sorry for Drumpf. He gets blamed for ALMOST every lie he tells.

BTWd, where's Duh Donuld's tax returns? Hillary's are available on line going back to the 90s. What is he hiding?

Tax Return Shows Hillary Clinton Donated 100 Times More Money To Charity Than Trump

By Jason Easley on Fri, Aug 12th, 2016 at 2:20 pm

Hillary Clinton has released her and her husband's 2015 tax return, and it shows that they donated 9.8% of the gross income to charity. In contrast, reporters have been unable to find no individual donations that Trump made out of his own pocket to charity.

And all of that money went to the Clinton Foundation wwhich keeps 90% for administrative overhead (Clinton pockets) and sends the rest to so-called charities which never get to those in need. Haiti anyone?

88% of money donated to the Clinton foundation goes to humanitarian aid

Wasn't Obama simply continuing the stimulus effort started by Bush? When it came to obamadon'tcare, there was no compromise.

The media has been too soft on Trump

No other candidate would get away with what Trump does

Have you had one of Shrillary's "short circuits?"
The difference is that Hillary has run a conventional campaign and has stuck to the issues. That is what the press has been reporting

They have also reported on Trumps bizarre claims, half truths and lied

That is not unbalanced reporting
And ignoring the Hildebeast's bottomless pit of lies is balanced reporting?

TARP was a continuation of what Bush initiated. Oddly, the same Republicans who approved TARP under Bush, voted unanimously to deny it to Obama

G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero

Politics in the age of media is really an 'armchair sleuth' game, so pull out your Scotland Yard board-game, because Donald Trump's paradoxically 2 things:

1. a finance wizard America needs right now
2. a straightforward businessman in need of good political guidance.

If Trump receives #2, he's the right man to 'bless' for #1.

I remember watching those Alien films with Sigourney Weaver and thinking how much Americans appreciate the notion that women can contribute to civilization in many ways.

Maybe America would benefit from its first female American president, but it doesn't seem (with ISIS looming and nagging) that America is ready for a female president to handle the helm.

As long as the news-guys do their job, we might actually get an exciting election board-game (e.g., "capitalist v feminist")!

Like Will Sonnett once said.....No brag, just fact

Fame on the Battlefield

Trump is a celebrity and a businessman. For the world to believe in his leadership, he has to convince us he is interested in the complexities of finance as it relates to modern geopolitics (e.g., European Union, NATO, etc.).

When I see a media photo of a famous celebrity walking in public with his/her spouse and/or child, the first thing that DOES NOT enter into my mind is, "I bet that celebrity is whispering to her kid, 'The greatest domestic joy, son, is when you realize your wife can cook as good as your dear old mother!'"

In other words, we think celebrities are naturally shallow, so in order for Trump to overcome the 'shallow moniker,' we have to believe in his sincerity towards cultural controversies (e.g., OJ Simpson, Enron, etc.). Is Trump "Picket Fences" material? Maybe that lingering question draws the populace-biased media towards preconceived assumptions/stereotypes.

I'd have to say the media has been too easy on the Donald.

I mean, just 16 years ago, Al Gore was basically disqualified for rolling his eyes and casually grunting at some dumb thing George W. Bush said during the debate.

No one has ever gotten away with saying or doing the stuff Donald has. Like not giving $$ to veterans after he said he did and then only cutting checks for a fraction of the total amount after he was publicly fact-checked. I don't know any politician that would be allowed to survive that, but that actually never became a big story on the nightly news. Republican or Democrat, any other politician would have been done in by that one.

I'm not of the opinion that a newspaper or channel is biased in lieu of their donations. Some are, some aren't. Same with journalists. Like, I know Chris Wallace is a Republican through and through, but when he moderated that one debate, I thought he was appropriately tough and challenging of Trump and some of the false claims he had made. Wallace put the actual math up on the board for everyone to see and proved Trump wrong. That is doing your job as a journalist; to always be biased towards the facts.

I understand Megyn Kelly is a Republican through and through but I think she was totally fair at challenging Trump. If a major party candidate can't take the heat from their own kitchen, then what good are they anyway? Trump revealed one of his worst character flaws because of the Kelly incident: that he's thin-skinned and incapable of letting things go if he feels you're challenging him. He took it personally that she was being tough instead of being smoother the way we'd expect someone who is running to be president.

Media biased against Trump? You mean like CNN editing out the Hildebeast's comments about the NY bombing while criticising Trump for calling the NY bombing a bombing? No, I'm sure there's no chance of the media being biased against him.
