Can freedom survive Republican control of media?

    Let's assume for the moment that Republicans would not, as they have always tried, use an election victory to further erode democracy and take away everyone's right to vote who is likely to vote against them. Even if they allowed real elections (and they do think of it as allowing - they don't seem to think voting is a right), is it really freedom if they control all the sources of information and won't allow people to learn facts they don't like?

    I guess you have to have -some- degree of admiration for a guy who isn't at all afraid to put his partisan bigotry on display.
