It's always funny when the left tries to make things like Fox and Friends and Hannity out to be actual news instead of what they are a morning talk show no different than Good Morning America or the Today show and a conservative talk show host giving the conservative viewpoint. Equally funny is those who claim FOX is not real news and as proof they use stories from partisan sources.

Was reading in FB a post that claimed that Obama was going to ban doughnuts.....so I did some research, and found stories where FDA was trying to phase out the use of artificial trans-fat sprinkles (they go on cookies/doughnuts/etc.,)and Fox News completely turned this around to mean that the Obama Administration is going to get rid of doughnuts, which is completely absurd.

Don't know how they can twist facts to such absurdity, but even if they didn't want Obama's administration messing with artificial trans-fats, are conservatives so inclined to allow companies to use whatever ingredients they want, whether they are harmful to us in their quest for "capitalism and freedom" - even if it kills us? Would they be on the side of the company if indeed people were dying due to specific ingredients used by companies? If it happened to be someone they cared about?

Here is the story, so, is it any wonder most 24/7 viewers of Fox News come up with such crazy ideas about Obama? Is it any wonder that Fox News is not taken seriously?



Fox & Friends segment warned on Tuesday that President Barack Obama’s administration was set to enact a ban on doughnut sprinkles, which meant that the government could take control of where you live and work next.

In a report that seemed to have no actual news value other than to rile up readers during the holiday season, Breitbart asserted just days before Christmas that the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) had moved to “ban cake” and “donut ‘sprinkles’.”

“Although the amount of trans fats Americans consume has declined significantly in recent years, the FDA’s quest to completely eliminate a particular type of trans fat threatens to eliminate the noble ‘sprinkle,’ used to decorate holiday treats and donuts,” the Breitbart report said. “Even a small amount of joy is suspect in the FDA’s brave, new, food-monitored world.”

It’s true that the FDA took steps in 2013 to phase out the sale of artificial trans fats. And the Center for Disease Control (CDC) estimates that moving forward with a complete ban could prevent as many as 7,000 deaths and 20,000 coronary events each year.

But Fox News host Clayton Morris told viewers on Tuesday that they would have to “say goodbye to your favorite sprinkled doughnut.”

“They’re getting rid of doughnuts like these,” Morris explained while hold a plate of pastries. “Doesn’t the FDA have more important things to do than regulate sprinkles?”

Calling out lies in what's supposed to be a News station.....that most Republican/conservatives watch 24/7 does not translate to "emotionally involved" - just trying to point out to them that Faux News lies.......but I think they already know it and are happy with it.....but just in case some lefties should be dumb enough to watch Faux News....we want to make sure and let them know.... they care.

Faux News has sued in defense of being able to lie......that should make most Faux News viewers very happy.
