Calls to Criminalize Questioning Manmade Global Warming Rises

Deniers always project their own immoral authoritarian beliefs and actions on to the ethical people, because that's what authoritarian fanatics do.

Federal Agencies Told to Halt External Communications

The Trump administration has put gag orders -- that is, criminalized speech -- on science across the board, including on climate science. Thus, the Trump Stalinists here are going into deflection mode, accusing everyone else of doing what they're so proudly doing themselves.

Trumpflakes, why don't you all move to North Korea, given that you all share the ideology of the North Koreans?

Now, there is a way for you deniers to demonstrate that you're not as authoritarian as you appear to be. Simply condemn the Trump admin for their Stalinist policies. Do it right here.

None of the Trumpfalkes will do that, of course. Their Stalinist cult commands, and they obey. None of them has ever had the brains, guts or ethics to condemn their cult's Stalinist policies before, and that's not about to change now.
So are you for or against punishing climate deniers?
Your blabbering post never addressed the OP.

Because shut up you heretic, they explained.

Calls to punish global warming skepticism as a criminal offense have surged in the aftermath of Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, but it hasn’t discouraged climate scientists like Judith Curry.

A retired Georgia Tech professor, she argued on her Climate Etc. website that Irma, which hit Florida as a Category 4 hurricane on Saturday, was fueled in large part by “very weak” wind shear and that the hurricane intensified despite Atlantic Ocean temperatures that weren’t unusually warm.

That is the kind of talk that could get policymakers who heed her research hauled before the justice system, if some of those in the climate change movement have their way.

“Climate change denial should be a crime,” declared the Sept. 1 headline in the Outline. Mark Hertsgaard argued in a Sept. 7 article in the Nation, titled “Climate Denialism Is Literally Killing Us,” that “murder is murder” and “we should punish it as such.”

Climate change activists want punishment for skeptics
Excellent. This board should serve as an excellent resource for the government when this happens.

It will never happen within our lifetimes. The vast majority of us have not yet been transformed into Europeans.

How many in 1995 thought we'd have homosexuals marrying and forcing Christians to attend their weddings, men in bathrooms with little girls, and Christians forced to fund abortions.

Oh, the writing was certainly on the wall. Three of those issues are still in the courts. One deals with equality before the law. Remember, there is no such thing as settled law.

Trump will appoint at least one additional SCOTUS justice in his terms, likely two or three. That will serve to roundfile the criminalization of speech here for at least another generation.

If not, there will be business. :Boom2:
Damn, you guys are so good at accusing others of doing what you have done. That fuckup of a prosecuting attorney of Virginia tried to prosecute Micheal Mann for writing a scientific paper. As far as your threat is concerned, zero chance of that. You fucks are too lazy to do anything of the sort for any reason.
Your blabbering post didn't address the OP either. Are you for or against punishing climate deniers?

Did he now? :lmao:

That isn't "criminalizing free speech," moron. That's just an employer instructing its employees what they are free to discuss with the press. Corporations do this all the time. Where I work we just had a meeting where they told us they were delaying the project deadline, and they told us not to discuss it with other people in the company. Were my free speech rights being violated? Only a brain damaged snowflake would claim they were.

There are laws in other places in the world where questioning the holocaust is forbidden so the precedent has been set. Now it is a matter if our 1st Amendment can stand the coming onslaught.

Your blabbering post didn't address the OP either. Are you for or against punishing climate deniers?

Against it, obviously, as are all rational people. You need to understand that we're not like you. We not authoritarian cultists, and the way you think and act disgusts us.

The two sides here are totally different. All of the rational people here have been consistent in their support of free speech and free science, while all the deniers have been consistent their support for censorship of any science that doesn't support DerParteiRepublikkan.

The Republican party attempted criminal prosecution of Dr. Mann and others, on entirely faked charges. Not a single denier here has ever condemned them for that. If you'd like to show you're not a proud Stalinist who wants to send scientists to the Gulag for thoughtcrimes, step up now and condemn the actions of the Republican party. If you do, you'll be the first denier here to ever do so.

Here's the point.

You pointed to some nobody that nobody ever heard of -- in this case, a not-at-all-famous "Brad Johnson" -- who wants deniers prosecuted. And nobody agrees with that person, or cares about what he said.

On the other hand, with the Dr. Mann example, we point that every denier here personally supports censorship and prosecution. Not a random nobody, but all the deniers here, personally, every one of them.

The two sides are nothing alike. We're for freedom, you're for slavery. And you, Weatherman, are one of the most fanatical Stalinists, as illustrated by your devotion to pushing party propaganda.

Who's we, pale face? Only leftist are calling for the criminalization of free speech.

There isn't a company in America with more than 25 employees that has requirements for speaking to the press.

If you mean they don't have guidelines about what you can say to the press, wrong. I've worked for several companies that gave us a class in company communications and then tested us on it.

Who's we, pale face? Only leftist are calling for the criminalization of free speech.

As usual, I note a distinct lack of enthusiasm by a denier to criticize the Republican party's attempts to send climate scientists to The Gulag.

And I understand why. The Stalinst conservative cult has says sending scientists to The Gulag is good policy. Either the deniers agree with their cult, or they're too frightened of their cult to declare cult policy is anything less than perfect. Given how hyper-violent and dangerous the conservative cult is, and how much they despise apostates, it's a good idea for cultists not to dissent.

That's another reason why it's so good to be one of the rational people. There's no cult commanding us to support Stalinism, so we're free to always condemn the Stalinists, which is why we always do.

And yet the Obama admin didn't have such restrictions. Such speech restrictions only happen under Republican administrations. Bush used them, and Trump uses them.

Democrats? We say government organizations should report their findings, whatever they are, without first having them vetted by political officers, a system like the old Soviets used.. If that's inconvenient to the party in power, then so be it. It's a freedom thing, so conservatives wouldn't understand.

Democrat presidents don't need to control what Executive branch employees say because they are all Democrats. They aren't trying to thwart administration policy or stab the president in the back.

Only a snowflake would claim that government propaganda has something to do with freedom.

That's right, Bri. Reality is all a vast liberal conspiracy. You've figured it out.

OP- obviously not happening in reality, but the right-wing hates bulshit propaganda machine is the biggest challenge to the First Amendment we've had in our history. A total disgrace.

Government is populated by people who love government: Democrats, that is. Government is a liberal conspiracy.

With the science we have currently I think it is just plain stupid and the height of pure idiocy to throw out the entire theory of the greenhouse effect. Now, I don't believe you should go to jail for doing so but you're an idiot when you do.
