Caller calls Limbaugh a "Brainwashed Nazi"

Torture does NOT produce reliable intell.

Only partisan idiots believe that it does.

I'm sure torture has produced good intel at times. The problem is you cannot rely on it. It far more often produces flat out fabrications. And, of course, if you are claiming to be the "land of the free" and the pillar of righteousness in the world you look like a hypocritical scumbag when you do it. Which doesn't benefit you any. Of course, American hypocrisy is old hat now, but still.....

Torture does NOT produce reliable intell.

Only partisan idiots believe that it does.

No one is claiming torture does produce reliable intell.

The argument is whether certain techniques are torture or not.

The fact that you ignore this demonstrates how you fail to see the actual issue on hand. It shows you are disingenuous in your posts. But then, since when has truth mattered in your posts?

The guy is a drug addict, thrice divorced, doesn't attend church.

So how is he a conservative???

conservatism is political not religious.

And no ones perfect. Why should we expect them to be? Obama is two out of those three and you have no problem supporting him. What's the difference?

I'd like some proof that we've tortured anyone to death.

The caller was a plant, and therefore dishonest from the outset. Who gives a shit what he said? I really doubt Rush is losing any sleep over it.

Waterboarding is torture you idiot, just because Cheney said it wasnt does not make it not torture.

Waterboarding - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Waterboarding is a form of torture[1][2] that consists of immobilizing the victim on his or her back with the head inclined downwards, and then pouring water over the face and into the breathing passages. By forced suffocation and inhalation of water the subject experiences drowning and is caused to believe they are about to die.[3] It is considered a form of torture by legal experts,[4][5] politicians, war veterans,[6][7] intelligence officials,[8] military judges,[9] and human rights organizations.[10][11] As early as the Spanish Inquisition it was used for interrogation purposes, to punish and intimidate, and to force confessions.[12]

Just weighing in on this one..

When I watched the clip and heard Limbaugh's response, it was so lame that I wondered how he would have looked if Obama actually had taken him up on his offer to debate.

Really moronic response to Charles on that one. :eusa_snooty:

"Waterboarding is a form of torture..."

Well there ya have it... Wikipedia says that waterboarding is torture, this WATERBOARDING IS TORTURE....

Of course Wikipedia doesn't define "torture," it doesn't show where Waterboarding meets the threshold of "torture;" nor does it speak to the circumstances where such would or potentially COULD be reasonable if not indisputably ESSENTIAL means in the collection of time sensitive, life saving information.

What you have from this idiot is yet another pathetic appeal to what she feels is a popularly held position and to buttress that appeal she offered the flaccid wiki-source...

Where water-boarding is implemented to entertain a sadist... it's torture; where waterboarding is implemented to induce compliance of the prisoner to be forthcoming with information, to the extent of their knowledge... it's an invaluable tool, with incredibly high efficacy.

Was it as lame as the ^^ THAT^^?

The simple fact is that the Lord of the Idiots is an idiot... he's the LORD of the Idiots to be sure... but that leaves him an idiot nontheless.

Waterboarding is torture you idiot, just because Cheney said it wasnt does not make it not torture.

And just because you say it is doesnt make it so.

I think there is honest debate on the issue. And simply because you ignore it doesnt mean there isnt a difference of opinion.

ROFL...

Well yeah, because the way it works is that the mean old CIA water boards 'em and as they're spilling their guts, they scribble that info down and then they RUN off to follow that wild goose chase... and the nice terrorists goes back to the righteous killing of the corporate exploiters of their 3rd world shithole and everyone lives happily ever-after.

ROFLMNAO... Oh GOD! Now that's precious...

Nope... The terrorists is asked nicely by fairly smart people, some basic questions, which lead them to ask less basic questions, the answers to which are measured against known certainties and where the individual is determined to possess time sensitive information which is critical to sparing innocent, particularly innocent American life... they ask nicely and when that offer is rejected... they strap Haji's ass down and encourage him to come to a better decision.

Now when Haji gushes what he has to offer, he is rewarded with good clean air and sent back to kennel and the information is vetted by field operations... and if Haji lied... Oh that's BAD for Haji...

It's a lie that coersive interrogation doesn't provide solid intelligence... it's pure BS.

Here's a clue... IF coersive interrogation did not provide solid intelligence; it wouldn't be so popular. If cake and Ice cream, clean sheets, and causal Friday's provided solid intelligence, GITMO would look more like Vegas than a high security Dog kennel.

How anyone can defend torture is just beyond the pale.

It has been proven to provide unreliable intell as well as it being morally abhorent.

Well first, coersive interrogation is a highly effective PROCESS, wherein information is gathered and tested... and the detanee which provided that information is held accountable FOR the veracity of that information. Thus such conclusions which project such processes as "TORTURE" are a misnomer... which first seeks to expand the meaning of the word, and to do so through the common misuse of the word; wherein any physical discomfort applied through interogation is described and defined as 'torture.' It's a lie...

What's more the blanket determination that there is "NEVER" a good reason to induce pain, fear or other such discomforts to induce compliance...

Such a toxic combination of misnomers is counter productive to the common good of humanity... and through its very nature, this irrational species of reasoning provides the enemy of the humanity with protections which reduces the means of humanity to combat that enemy; thus giving them the means to destroy it.

Old Rocks would LOVEd to have advanced a well reasoned, intellectually sound, logically valid argument in response to this post, but she lacked the means to do so, which resulted in her advancing a flaccid neg-rep born of impotent rage, where she blathered something about anything which promotes discomfort upon terrorists is inhumane and unAmerican...

LOL... Leftists...
