A bill proposed by an Oklahoma state legislator would place a 1 percent tax on games that are deemed "violent" by adding an additional 1 percent on top of the existing state sales tax, which is currently 4.5%, for a total of 5.5%; the money would go towards combating bullying and childhood obesity. The bill, HR 2696, is proposed by state Rep. William Fourkiller for the state of Oklahoma.
