What "lucrative" jobs? How many? Where can I find this info? I've looked for some record of those "lucrative" jobs they take and I can't find it.

I'm talking primarily about construction and skilled labor once they becomed trained in this country. They are taking the jobs away from others. The so called "professional suit jobs" are generally not an issue because companies know better.

But - employers hire illegals to do shit work because they can pay them less. I disagree with this but I also see it from the small business owner's point of view.

Its very difficult to keep a small business going and you save money where you can.

Frankly,i see no one valid enough.they all pander and compromise their values,and in true leadership,theres no room for that. Can't have it both ways. They may start out with poor jobs, but the employuer is there to train them into a valuable employee. Everyone needs a living wage. Pushing a broom and watching others is still beginning a work ethic aand they need to start somewhere. I understand small businesses have a tough time working around constraints, but they had best be doing it with American laborers. Small businesses will get a break when the government stops putting roadblocks in front of them.

I wouyldn't call that professional entitlements, but I see what you are saaying. If there were no unions, we would have a better labor force, the net wage of the employee would be higher and union bosses would have to find real jobs.

I understand about looking for the right person for the job, matching qualifications with the employees. The most ridiculous thing I have ever heard of is female fire fighters who cannot do the job as well as strong men and throwing out public employee promotion tests because enough minorities didn't pass.

Maintained a reasonable unemployment rate,then once they imported africans and arabs to do the work,quality dropped,productuvity dropped,and social issues were created. That stupid fence? Good gawd, did you see the last tunnel they found? Or what about the dozens of tunnels found in the past? Why would anyone think a fence would be effective?

How about armed guards? Have you ever seen the desert southwest? You could hide elephants and its deadly for the guards.

Or, how about McCain's Follies? He bought hugely expensive helicopters equipped with night vision cameras. Really cool to watch the news footage of coyotes (the four-footed kind) trot across the desert floor. And, long lines of people, walking in the night. No way to catch them of course but it was really cool to watch them. The helicopters have been parked for years now.

Another stupid McCain idea was watch towers. A guard would climb to the top and sit there all day in the blazing hot sun. The brush is so lush and thick that he couldn't actually see anything and every time it rained, the towers would fall down.

If the old fart is looking to get re-elected, I'm sure he'll come up with another harebrained scheme to spend taxpayer's money on.

The Sonora desert is called a "semi-tropical desert" because of the heavy rainfall. It means there is ore flora and fauna there than in most arid deserts. It also means its deadly and difficult in many other ways. Bottom line, its not as easy as people seem to think.

SB1070 is more than two years old. So is the racist harassment. Are you saying that 11 million people have already "self-deported"? Or that it will be another two years, meaning a total of four years?
