California, jeesh. I am just the opposite. If it is repeat offenders, or violent offenders, I would lower it to 16 or maybe even 14. It might clear some of the worst off the the streets earlier. Some are tried as adults now. It should not be about the fragile youth, the offenders do not deserve it. They should be locked away to protect normal society.
