First off I would never put myself into a compromising situation that would have me incarcerated like those guys. Too many dumbasses think they can go above the law, either robbing banks, or pushing drugs on school kids, or worse, rape or murder. I, unfortunately now reside in the Peoples Republic of California within L.A. County where only the powerful well connected rich, or Hollywood types get CCWs. Us average Americans have zero rights not granted by the Elites governing us. My wife and I witnessed our neighbor being physically assaulted and even with our testimony and hers (she is from Mexico) we could not get the perpetrator arrested by the Los Angeles Sheriff Dept. as he was from South America (an upstairs neighbor) and was crying racial profiling.

I used to think that, than my ex-wife accused me of attempted rape on my wedding night and I spent a week in jail before being able to pay $3,000 cash to a bail bonds agent to let me out while the Prosecutor decided whether to prosecute or not. They would've kept me in there for weeks and force me to make a deal to get out of there for something I did not do.

California Democrats hate the gun, not the gunman – Orange County Register

Now that Democrats have supermajorities in the California state Legislature, they’ve rolled into Sacramento with a zest for lowering the state’s prison population and have interpreted St. Augustine’s words of wisdom to mean, “Hate the gun, not the gunman.”

I say this because, once they finally took a break from preaching about the benefits of stricter gun control, the state Senate voted to loosen sentencing guidelines for criminals convicted of gun crimes.

Currently, California law requires anyone who uses a gun while committing a felony to have their sentence increased by 10 years or more in prison — on top of the normal criminal penalty. If enacted, Senate Bill 620 would eliminate that mandate.

The bill, which passed on a 22-14 party-line vote, with support only from Democrats, now heads to the state Assembly for consideration.

Republicans and the National Rifle Association have vowed to campaign against it.

Why have Democrats suddenly developed a soft spot for criminals convicted of gun crimes? The bill’s author, state Sen. Steve Bradford, D-Gardena, says that he was motivated to write the bill after a 17-year-old riding in a car involved in a drive-by shooting was sentenced to 25 years in prison, even though he claims that he wasn’t the one who pulled the trigger.

and for all those anti-gunners who want to know where criminals get guns....well...this law lowers the prison time for those who give guns to criminals.....

Why is that?

So what? We're not suggesting that somehow being pro-gun is going to solve anything. We are suggesting that Gun rights are a constitutional guaranteed freedom to the American public.

Gun murder in California....with all of it's gun control is up 18%....that is a fact.

The fact that democrats have run St. Louis since 1949, and that their policy of letting violent gun offenders out of jail is driving their gun murder rate is a fact. Law abiding gun owners in St. Louis are not shooting each other over drug turf.....so targeting law abiding gun owners does not decrease gun crime.....

Meanwhile...as more Americans own and carry guns, over the last 25 years....gun murder is down 49%...fact. Gun crime is down 75%...fact. Violent crime is down 72%...fact....

Gun control laws that target law abiding gun owners does not effect any of the crime rates....... controlling actual criminals actually does effect the crime rate. Democrats let violent criminals out of jail, and target law abiding gun owners for enforcement policies....and then when the gun crime rates go up, you guys blame law abiding gun owners...
