California Casino Tribes Expel Dozens Of Members

SAN FRANCISCO -- Two casino-owning tribes in California have thinned their membership ranks over the last several months, cutting off scores of people from a share of casino profits and other benefits of tribal membership.

Officials with The Picayune Rancheria of the Chukchansi Indians and the Pala Band of Mission Indians say the former members' ancestral blood lines disqualified them.
Critics, however, have a different explanation: greed.

They accuse tribal officials of trying to increase their share of profits from their casinos, a charge that tribal officials vehemently deny.

Redman greed is no different from white man greed. This appears to be a civil rights violation but evidently they are within the law being a sovereign nation. The Chickasaw nation did not adopt their ex-slave and mix blood into the Chickasaw nation to share in the Government handouts. Even the mix blood with ‘one drop of negro blood.’ Mix blood white were adopted but not he mix blood Blacks. Blacks in the Chickasaw nation was without a country for 40 years. There were wide spread inter marriage in the Chickasaw nation between whites and Blacks.
Mix blood native American should do what Blacks did during the civil rights movement. U.S. Government should withhold handouts until they recognize mix blood native Americans their rightful place in the tribes.
Greed, as usual, is the driving motive. Black ex slave did not get the 30 acres and a mule that were promised either. Red greed is not different from white greed.
