(LOS ANGELES) — The California man behind an anti-Muslim film that roiled the Middle East was sentenced Wednesday to a year in prison for violating his probation stemming from a 2010 bank fraud conviction by lying about his identity. U.S. District Court Judge Christina Snyder immediately sentenced Mark Basseley Youssef after he admitted to four of the eight alleged violations, including obtaining a fraudulent California driver’s license. (MORE: Anti-Muslim Dutch Lawmaker’s Trial Tests Freedom of Speech) None of the violations had to do with the content of “Innocence of Muslims,” a film that depicts Mohammad as a religious fraud, pedophile and a womanizer.

So much for Freedom of Speech. And, do you think maybe all the Islamic thugs in our prison system are gonna let this guy live? Any bets?

Read your article again. It clearly states that NONE of the violations were related to the film he produced, and that he was jailed for violating his probation.

Of course, the rightwingers will continue to insist this was a conspiracy.

funny he is blamed for starting riots with his film and then picked up and jailed

but hey folks, it is just a COINCIDENSE

Not a coincidence really, more like dumbassery. Not using the internet was a specific condition of his parole. So he goes and makes himself world famous on the internet!

Not seeing a problem here. He was on probation. He wasn't allowed to use a computer. He used one.

And considering how many innocent people died because he was an asshole, I won't mind if he gets shanked in a shower.

He violated his probation, fuckwit. You think that people should be allowed to violate their probation?

Lindsay Lohan has continuosly violated her probation. How many years in prison has she been given?

With such a minor sentence, and in Federal Prison, it's unlikely that anything will happen to him in prision at all, if he's still in prison. He would be in with other minor offenders.
