What are Calderon's job qualifications? I might be able to get him a green card as a janitor.

The man is a fool! He has lost his credibility because of shooting off his mouth when in OUR country. Calderon, take an aspirin and go to bed!

I don't think Calderon is as foolish as many think he is. IMO, he's doing exactly what he's been trying to do since becoming el presidente and thats to keep the flow of American currency pouring into his country and the flow of Mexico's poor out of his country;

“The insensitivity shown toward those who have contributed to the economy and the United States society has been an inducement to redouble the struggle to recognize the enormous contribution to the economy of both countries and to defend their rights.”

As he has in the past, Mr. Calderón called on the United States Congress to pass changes to immigration law that would grant legal status to about 12 million Mexicans living and working illegally in the United States. He also reiterated his strong opposition to plans to build more fences and other barriers along much of the southern border. The assembled business executives and dignitaries gave him a standing ovation.

Criticizing the United States for its treatment of illegal Mexican immigrants has become routine for most Mexican politicians, including Mr. Calderón. Because the immigrants send home about $20 billion a year and because the yearly migration of more than 400,000 people relieves Mexico of masses of the poor, the government here has little incentive either to stem the migration northward or to support stricter measures making it harder for Mexicans to cross the border.

This is what he's been saying about 4 years now. What better way to continue getting his way than coming up here and condemning Arizona's legal law along with all the human parrots(who never read the bill to begin with) in D.C.

The (Mexican) government here has little incentive either to stem the migration northward or to support stricter measures making it harder for Mexicans to cross the border.

When East Germany prevented its citizens from leaving the country America called it a ruthless police state, a totalitarian dictatorship.

When Mexico does exactly what America preached for decades, when Mexico allows its citizens to leave the country freely the country is accused of indifference towards its citizens, of being interested in the money sent by mexican expatriates and even of planning the takeover of the american Southwest.

Countries all over the world should behave like democracies sometimes and other times like dictatorships according to America's best interest.

I gotta tell you... one has to have the patience and tolerance of a buddhist monk to deal with all the fecal matter that comes out of the brains of all the patriotic bozos of this Board.

hey asswipe.. describe to us what happens on the shithole called Mexico's southern border.. I say shit hole cause millions are leaving at breakneck speed.. People wouldn't do that if Mexico were'nt a shit hole so I suspect your time could be better spent building up the shit hole called Mexico and less time spent tearing down the USA.. just a thought.

Mexico has NO incentive to do for its people over THERE.

When East Germany prevented its citizens from leaving the country America called it a ruthless police state, a totalitarian dictatorship.

That's because it WAS all of the above.

When Mexico does exactly what America preached for decades, when Mexico allows its citizens to leave the country freely the country is accused of indifference towards its citizens, of being interested in the money sent by mexican expatriates and even of planning the takeover of the american Southwest.

Apples and oranges - or has Mexico gone communist???

Countries all over the world should behave like democracies sometimes and other times like dictatorships according to America's best interest.

No, democracy is NOT for everybody - just for those who dream of it. America has EVERY right to take care of its interests - best or otherwise.

I gotta tell you... one has to have the patience and tolerance of a buddhist monk to deal with all the fecal matter that comes out of the brains of all the patriotic bozos of this Board.
Patriotism is not fecal matter - and it takes a great country for its people to be patriotic!
