Cairo in Madison, Wisconson

You mean like when General George Washington and his troops avoided military confrontation with the British red coats because they were out manned and out gunned and wanted to carefully pick their battles?

wow, you suck at this .....

You don't think that the British thought that Washington was a coward for not facing them in battle?

They said he was a coward quite a bit...as did the Tories...you know...the Conservatives who fought with the British against America becoming a independent nation.

How does marching on the state capitol equate with running away from one's problems?

The dem state leaders ran away, dummy.....

They denied the GOP the necessary quorum call which was required in order to pass the legislation. That tactic gave the citizens of Madison the opportunity to express their constitutionally protected right to publicly protest the proposed legislation and get news coverage of their peaceful protest.

It's people power, baby!!!

Are the citizens all union members?

Wrong. They showed what PUSSIES they were by running away...then blaming others for their actions. Typical Statist drivel.

I think those kids were essentially on a real life field trip that gave them a lesson about democracy (with both a small d and large D) and the democratic process which will resonate with them far more than any textbook ever could.

So the Dems turning tail and running away from the vote is teaching them what?

Turn tail...Run away from obligations...then blame it on someone else.

It's the Statist way

I guess when you've got nothing else...calling people who pulled a pretty slick tactical delaying move "cowards" is semi-adequate. At least it might sound somewhat good to your ears. "Yeah! They's cowards!"

The people spoke in November, these moonbats have done nothing but disrupt the democratic process and dipshits like you applaud them....

What we are seeing in Wisconson is just the beginning.

sounds like a threat.
Nope, Reality...
For the public worker unions who've been screwing the taxpayers, time's up...
No more collective bargaining. No more powerful union bosses throwing their weight around and threatening politicians who do not play ball and give the unions what they want.

There is NO MORE MONEY to foot the bill.
the democrat legislators that ran away to avoid the vote are simply delaying the inevitable.
Collective bargaining for public workers in Wisconsin is DEAD!....

Keep guessing then. You called it correct in your first sentence. The rest is drivel.

Yeah...we saw it when San Fran NAN had the gavel...

What we are seeing in Wisconson is just the beginning.

The Right has fucked up big time AGAIN. What a collection of imbeciles.
No...They are speaking for the taxpayers who've been grossly overtaxed for this shit.
Private sector workers get to earn less then see their property taxes skyrocket while public workers get free medical insurance and gold plated pensions.

There is NO MORE MONEY....Done!

Such a clever way to stop a vote...the Right is left with nothing but to squawk "coward".

And they have the audacity to demand MORE taxes. Their appetite for the public tit is insaciable. The taxpayers owe them a living and retirement...or else...

Yep, they cleverly made asses of themselves to shortly postpone the inevitable, brilliant !

I say if the teachers dont show up for work... FIRE THEM ALL.

As for those cowards that jumped on the lil short yellow bus should be arrested for dereliction of duty.

Then again... they could just follow their dear leader and vote "present"
:eusa_whistle:

This is beautiful.....lol

"It's like Cairo has moved to Madison these days," Wingnut rising star/Eddie Munster impersonator Ryan claimed on MSNBC's "Morning Joe."

They denied the State their representation in order to force private citizens into paying State workers more than the State can afford.

I already remarked on the stupidity of the reference to Washington and for the record I do not endorse the following statement: But not for nothing... George Washington hung deserters. Again, this is not a battlefield, we are not at war. Brave soldiers have fought for over 230 years so we could have representation of the people, by the people and for the people.

Now in fifty States we step forward and proudly rely on our Constitutional legislative process. Whoops, not so fast Wisconsin!

Hmm.... Does Ryan like the idea of democracy anywhere?

Wisconsin labor protests ‘like Cairo,’ GOP’s Paul Ryan exclaims | The Raw Story

Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan, a rising star in the Republican Party, on Thursday equated the protests against his home-state Gov. Scott Walker's (R) budget plan to the world-historic demonstrations in Egypt that last week led to the fall of President Hosni Mubarak.

"He's getting riots. It's like Cairo's moved to Madison these days," Ryan said on MSNBC's "Morning Joe."

It looks like the GOP is intent of creating the kind of PR disaster that only serves to dramatically reinforce their reputation of favoring the rich at the expense of average American workers.

Carry on.

Bullshit....Public employees that earn on average 1/3 more than their private sector counterparts are NOT average workers.
The taxpayers view them as privaledged and coddled.
The notion that public sector workers are the poor and abused is a bunch of nonsense.
Here in NC, I am living in a neighborhood with two "retired" public workers. One from NJ the other from NY....Both these guys are drawing not one but TWO pensions.
One hasn't even hit 50 yet......
