A leader of the terror-linked Muslim group CAIR has a website that links to the terror-preaching imam that Barack Obama has ordered captured or killed. And the CAIR leader admits he is a fan of al Awlaki. (Los Angeles, CA) The weblog created by Affad Shaikh, the Civil Rights Manager of CAIR-Los Angeles, presently contains a link to the official website of Anwar al-Awlaki, the imam that issued a death fatwa against Seattle newspaper cartoonist Molly Norris.

Shaikh’s weblog, Muslamics, contains the link to al-Awlaki’s site, under the section titled “‘Muslamic’ Blogs We Read.” The link is found on every one of the pages of Muslamics, including the homepage.

In September 2006, on another blog he created, Shaikh admitted that, following the 9/11 attacks, he became a fan of al-Awlaki.

Al-Awlaki has recently called on American Muslims to commit violence against their fellow Americans.

Americans Against Hate Chairman Joe Kaufman stated, “The fact that this type of link is located on a CAIR official’s website is proof that CAIR refuses to distance itself from the extremist nature it was founded on over 16 years ago. We call on the U.S. government and local law enforcement to investigate the matter."

Oh, and they declared jihad on Juan Williams, to the eager complicity of NPR.

CAIR received $325,000 from the Saudi Arabia-based Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) to demand opposition to speech that they consider “Islamophobic.” The OIC’s “Ten Year Plan” calls on the U.S. government and other nations to enact laws “including deterrent punishments” to counter this so-called “Islamophobic” speech. The U.S. government funds NPR, which fired Williams, through Corporation for Public Broadcasting grants.

According to Gaffney, “The foreign payment of $325,000 to CAIR, and the OIC ‘Ten Year Plan’ guidance to CAIR to demand ‘deterrent punishments’ – or as CAIR’s Nihad Awad put it, ‘professional consequences’ - appear to have directed CAIR’s influence operation targeting NPR, which may have led to NPR firing Williams.”

DETROIT, Oct. 18 (UPI) -- A 47-year-old Syrian native pleaded guilty in U.S. federal court to making false statements related to a group backing Hamas, the U.S. Justice Department said.

U.S. Attorney Barbara McQuade announced that Mohamad Mustapha Ali Masfaka, a Syrian native, entered a guilty plea in a federal court in Detroit for lying about his role as a fundraiser for Hamas.

The indictment charges Masfaka with lying about his role in the Holy Land Foundation, a U.S.-designated terrorist group that allegedly raised money for Hamas.

The U.S. Justice Department said Masfaka worked for the Holy Land Foundation from 1997-98 and organized fundraising events in Detroit on behalf of the organization. He was arrested by authorities in January as he tried to enter Canada from Detroit.

"This individual went to great lengths to avoid apprehension and will now face justice on the criminal charges as well begin the process of his removal from the U.S.," said Brian Moskowitz, a special agent in charge of immigration enforcement, in a statement.

The suspect face felony charges with a prison sense ranging from 10 to 16 months in jail in addition to deportation to Syria.
