He was a barrel racing legend...Charmayne James rode him to fame as a 14 year old girl. He was a horse her mother had ridden, and passed on to Charmayne...and Charmayne won against grown, seasoned barrel racers on him.

Since being retired from competition, Scamper lived a beautiful healthy life until July 4, 2012 (see obituary below), and he has been cloned. The clone, nicknamed "Clayton", has been kept a stallion and stands at stud."
