I have a prediction. This "Chinese Lead Bag" issue is being pushed by some lobbyist, and is tied into the Obama Administration's attempts to reduce the negative trade balance with China.

And not all bags are created equal. The issues seem to involve the external decoration for promotional themes i(Babies and Colleges).


Health advocates say anything more than 100 parts per million can be dangerous, as lead can cause learning disabilities in children and fertility problems in adults.

By August, the federal limit for children's products will be 90 parts per million.

Below are the results of the lead tests measured by parts per million.

Round 1

Many businesses are cashing in on the green movement and we know how well businesses police themselves.

Just because something is sold as green means almost nothing, oft it is just a sales gimmic.

It's quite consistent that government enforced standards are often worse than what they replace:

- MTBE poisons ground water
- CFLs contain mercury and good luck cleaning up if you drop one on the floor
- Electric vehicles are much less energy efficient when the actual cost to produce electricity in the first place is factored in.

The reusable bags have another problem: ecoli bacteria.

One needs to wash them very frequently, or they can turn into ecoli farms.

And you should see the messages I'm getting in the neg reps that are pouring in.
