It's not so much Ditka as an adversity to something positive being said about Palin by a celebrity. Such a message goes against their Palin orthodoxy, regardless of the messenger. It could have been any actor, singer, entertainer, athlete, etc. and it wouldn't get covered as it would had one instead been bashing her. That would be BIG NEWS to be exploited.
