Of course there is no War on Women. However a serious GOP campaign to roll back the advances for womens rights made in the last few decades is under way.

"There were over 1100 antichoice provisions introduced in 2011 and 900 antichoice provisions introduced so far in 2012. Legislators in 13 states have introduced 22 bills seeking to mandate that a woman obtain an ultrasound procedure before having an abortion. Of these, seven states are pursuing the state-rape vaginal probe variety. In addition, legislators in 13 states have sponsored right-wing "Personhood" type bills, too extreme even for the electorate of Mississippi, that could make both abortion and reproductive choices highly restricted."

The Republican 'War on Women' Is Real - Chicago Tribune

That tells half the story.

The other half of the story shows that the man running for president as a republican put in legislation that now makes abortions free and easy to get across the state he governed.

The most prominent republican did everything he could to make abortions as cheap and easy to get as possible.

Yes but since then the Etch-a-Scetch has been shaken and his position has been re-written again.

I would take what someone taking bath salts says more seriously than what a politician says in front of a crowd during campaigning.

I go by what politicians do, not say. What Romney did was put into place probably the most pro-choice state gov't in the U.S.

There is no shooting war on women, yet. Yet, the attack on women's rights seems to be more in concert (i.e. with a common plan) with the Taliban than with 'equal rights'. As we all know the Republican Party, before it morphed into the radical party it is today, opposed and defeated the Equal Rights Amendment. on the state level.

Today State Lawmakers are working hard to erode the rights of women and to disenfranchise voters.

for every woman that wants an abortion, there is likely a man who ALSO wants that child aborted.

Only partisan fools who have nothing more to offer in a debate and complete and total idiots would refer to the abortion deabte as a war on women.

And that is coming from someone who is pro choice.

There sure doesn't seem to be a "Vagina Dialogue" thread shortage by the Liberals on this website, does it?

I wouldn't know.

Do you or don't you support Affirmative Action?

I hate and oppose affirmative action to the highest extent...

People should get by based on their abilities NOT their exterior...

I read a quote one time and it went something like this: "we hired you because you were black, we fired you because you were useless." That was a quote in response to a black man claiming racism as the reasoning for him being fired.

The fact is genius, people were not hired because they were black.

What in the hell does that have to do with you trawling Yahoo news for non-stories. What next? Romney doesn't know what a WaWa is?

Let's see how you wannabe-warriors manage this one.
