Bush's Other Failed War

No kidding---Clinton would kicked all their asses with one hand tied behind his back.

After listening to Hillary last night, I think you are right. Except you have a typo here .... you said "his back" when it should be "her back" It was Hillary you were talking about, right ? :eusa_eh:

I'll never understand the france-hating, "freedom fries" wing of the republican party.

One day, they'll complain that the french are wussies who don't help us.

Another day, they'll cheer the deaths of french paratroopers killed in combat.

Well when you've had nite ops and frenchy decides that he just has to use his flashlight now you have smalls arms fire on a location that was otherwise unknown to the enemy. Or when your assigned to watch a french reporter who decides that its ok to bring you into harms way as long as the story turns out good and he gets some decent pictures then maybe you will sing the same tune.

Because idiot politicians are the ones who employ it, and want to play armchair general and make decisions better left to the professionals.

And that would be idiot politicians from BOTH parties, not just the Bush administration.

If Bush would have listened to professionals, the US militarys performance would likely have increased significantly.

You mean the ones YOU like? he did listen to his Military Generals. I love the oft repeated claim we should have sent more troops into Iraq during the invasion. You are , of course aware, that there simply was no more room in Kuwait for more troops? Where do you suggest we should have had these other troops? The 4th Division was denied passage through Turkey and then had to wait to off load in Kuwait because of no room.

Now we did screw up when we listened to the idiot that suggested we disband the Iraqi Army and fire all the police. If we intended to just let the army melt away we should have destroyed it rather then allow it to go home armed to the teeth. The plan originally was to destroy the Republican Guard and leave the regular army intact, which we did, and for no reason since then we disbanded it.

Did that happen to you, sport?
