These were a few of the Lefts talking points against Bush.

He ran up an 8 trillion dollar deficit in 8 years.

He started 2 wars we did not need to fight.

Unemployment went to over 7 percent.

He asked Congress for a Bank bail out.

He gave seniors drug help through Medicare.

Ok lets look at Obama shall we?

6 trillion dollar deficit in 4 years.

he started 2 wars and has plans for a 3rd above the 2 we are already fighting.

He asked Congress for a stimulus that no one got to read until it was voted in. A stimulus that pays off all the players that helped get him elected.

He created the biggest health care boondoggle ever seen.

So Obama supporters remind us again why Bush was bad but Obama is good?

they are all "evil" ,to rise to the level and go through the ranks to be selected a presidential candidate requires it...an honest man would never stand a chance in such a rigged game,at best you can make a case for the lesser of two evils...maybe

When you say 'the Left' who do you mean exactly? A consensus on the Left? An opinion widely held by an overwhelming majority on the Left?

I ask because 1) I've never heard anyone claim Bush added 8 trillion to the deficit and 2) the Left generally/mostly supported the Afghanistan war.

Agreed. Obama is the same way, not evil, just terrible.

As soon as Americans get over their obsession with Political Parties, we just may have a decent President.

Libs said Bush was violating the Constitution with wiretaps on terrorists, but Obama just kept the program going once he saw the intel behind it.

Obama claimed we'd leave Iraq, but we're still there.

Obama claimed we'd leave Afghanistan, we're still there.

Obama claimed 6% unemployment under Bush was terrible but 9% under him is "improving."

Rising energy costs under Bush was manipulation by Bush/Cheney but even higher costs under Obama have NOTHING TO DO WITH HIM.

Actually, Bush was so good at hiding costs, no one really knows the true cost to the country. Two wars, Iraq was a lie, Afghanistan was an easy one. Go in, get Bin Laden, get out. But if Bush had got Bin Laden, he never would have convinced America to invade Iraq, that much is obvious.

Then there were the trillions in unneeded tax cuts. Then who knows how many more trillions from the "drugs for votes" bill. Both passed through the same reconciliation Republicans called using, "evil".

Who knows how much has been wasted "rebuilding" Iraq and Afghanistan? There was the bank bailout.

There was the Republican deregulation of Wall Street that led to the mortgage market being moved from "Freddie/Fannie" to Wall Street which nearly brought down the global economy. How much did that cost in terms of value and lost revenue? That's not even in the budget.

You start adding it all up and you say, "Oh My Gawd", how did one political party cause so much damage in a mere 8 years?

Then, they passed the baton to Obama. The "Marxist, socialist, fascist, communist Kenyan Mau Mau community organizer" who they haven't supported on anything. In fact they had the nerve and the shear gall to lamely attempt to take credit for getting Bin Laden after THEY let him go.

There are two different perspectives here. There is the liberal perspective, which is labeled "history", and the right wing perspective which we know for a fact to be based in "delusion" and "racism".
