    The RNC considered running someone either than Bush in 2004 as well. The DNC is now considering not running Obama in 2012, I guarantee it.

    Behind the scenes political posturing and jockeying happens all the time.

    or replace Joe B with Hillary. I am not sure she would take a VP spot?

    I seriously considered replacing Bush/Cheney in 2004 as well... then the Dems offered John Kerry. That about spoiled things for me.
