Bush is also distantly related to Abigail Adams (and thus John Quincy Adams, her son) through Ephraim Smith in his line. Interesting they share a common ancestor.

Personally, I find all that rather hard to believe. Seems to me that kerry HAS to be the result of generations of inbreeding.

Now wait a minute... on Bush's side, it shows that Sanford Smith, part of the bloodline from the original couple, died in 1774. However, Dubya's g-g-g-grandmother, the next link down from Sanford Smith, wasn't born until 1800!?! How the hell does that work?

I think this is a crock of bull.

This was probably a misprint. I'm guessing he died in 1794.
