Burning coal cools the planet.

Fossil fuels will be running combustion engines many, many decades after we're all in our boxes 6 feet under.

Funny that you deniars should be yowling that others are afraid of change, when it is you fellows that completely freak out over the idea of replacing fossil fuels with non-polluting technology. You flood the internet with posts concerning the stupidity of scientists, and fail to see the irony. You get your science from an undegreed ex-tv weatherman, or an obese junkie of a radio jock. And then claim there is no science on the side of the people that have made there climate their lifes study.

No, we do not want to go back, we want to move forward. Forward to a future that involves living in a manner that does not destroy our environment, damning future generations to a lesser quality of life than we enjoy. Forward to a future with a richer environment, for all of earth's creatures, rather than one where we are responsible for the extinction of a great many with whom we share the earth with at present.

We have the technology to do this at present. But that would hurt the economics of some very wealthy and powerful corperations. And their minions are going to make sure that does not happen, and you fellows are going pucker up and kiss the asses of the fellows destroying the future of the following generations.

damning future generations to a lesser quality of life than we enjoy

HEE HEE, They will be lucky if they escape the hell we choke choke...enjoy.
Trying to sift through the lies, exaggerations and egomaniacal self serving bullshit is enough for any one human to endure.

Do you get a tingle up your leg by telling lies?

None of us has any problem with replacing fossil fuels with non-polluting technology. What we object to is you short-sighted morons making fossil fuels illegal before there's any green technology that's economical, practical, and scalable.

Which there isn't yet, by the way. Just sayin'.
We have the technology to do this at present.
No, we don't. Fossil fuels provide half of the electricity in the United States. You have NOTHING that will replace it, now or for the foreseeable future. And all the petroleum used for transportation? Nothing there, either.

But instead of accepting this very basic reality, you'll screech about how BIGOIL has paid us to say that, or some such mindless leftist nonsense.

We know for an absolute fact that burning coal warms the planet. We have been told this by everyone from the Big 0 to Old Rocks. Now, however, we find that the reason the global isn't warming is that China is burning coal.

Shut the front door!

If Americans burn coal, it warms the planet so we cannot use the most plentiful resource in our ground to produce energy since Warming the Global is the worst catastrophe that can be imagined. So we've been told.

Now we are told that the reason that the Global isn't Warming is BECAUSE too much coal is being burned. I see... Warming causes too much snow, too much rain, drought, floods, warming, cooling, rising seas that never rise and global famine while there is more food than ever before. Warming the Global is obviously freaky.

Now we find out that the reason we cannot burn coal because of warming is the reason the Global isn't Warming because of the Coal burning. Again: Freaky.

Makes me wonder if the big increase in temperatures since the early 20th Century might be due to the relative absence of coal burning, Globaly, that is.

Add to the list of things to worry about dogs sleeping with cats, the condition known as hot dog fingers and anal seepage.

But the cooling effect from sulfur is short-lived. By contrast, the carbon dioxide emanating from Chinese coal plants will last for decades, with a cumulative warming effect that will eventually overwhelm the cooling from sulfur and deliver another large kick to global warming, climate scientists say.

A warmer climate could lead to rising sea levels,
the spread of tropical diseases in previously temperate climes,
crop failures in some regions and
the extinction of many plant and animal species, especially those in polar or alpine areas.

Don't forget that this will cause a population explosion in anteaters who will no longer be satisified with just ants.

Also a population explosion will occur amongst anteaters who will no longer be content with just ants. I am not even going to go to africanized bees.

I'm afraid that in your case, Davedolt, those won't help. About the only thing that would help you would be for you to get a pre-frontal lobotomy. You wouldn't get any smarter, that's impossible, but it would shut you up and relieve the rest of us from the burden of your whining moronic rants.

:lol::lol::lol::lol:

Ahhh....another of the walleyedretard's posts where he demonstrates his verbal 'brilliance'.

Yes, bandying words with a juvenile is a waste of my time so I don't bother. When you finally grow up and no longer resort to insults you'll get some real responses, till then you get smilies 'cause that's all you rate junior.:lol::lol:

In another two or three hundred years, that vision will undoubtedly be the reality.

Right now, without fossil fuels, commerce stops, world wide famine starves billions and civilization as we know it today vanishes amid the following plagues and pestilence that rises from all of the unburied corpses.

The problem with reality is that it's so real.

Code......as usual...........hitting the bullseye square in the middle. Unfortunately...........and its like banging your head off the wall Code.........the k00ks think in a manner that doesnt allow them to get that life is ALL about weighing necessary tradeoffs when you make decisions. They think ANY identified problem can be solved with collective will. Again..........its not an intelligence thing..........its a thought processing thing. Most people do not have a thought processing disorder and are able to see the landscape of life as having to accept necessary tradeoffs. I assess this shit for a living so I can see thought processing fcukk up tendencies from 1,000 miles away. Not at all being flippant.........resolution is via medication only, which is why I affectionately refer to them as k00ks.

The problem is, that's exactly what the most rabid greenies want. Extinction of the human race.

Sorry "daveman" gonna have to disagree with you and your sponsors.....there is no justifying the destructive methods that is required to mine this blackening dust; mountain-top removal, and a variety of
local ecological imbalances that result in extracting this resource. Who wins? Investors and mining contractors. Who loses? The local communities, and eventually our over all eco system. Yep! You can spin it any way you wish , but you are either in denial or a liar.

Being a "Liberal" is no less an accomplishment than being conservative,
But being progressive will get the job done, and it will be our future children who will be cleaning up the disaster that lasse faire capitalism has imposed on the global population,
and it will be your children asking you why things became the way they are.

Geez you make it easy. We are all in favour of alternative energy systems so long as their implementation doesn't bankrupt the nations introducing them.

On the other hand you folks slobber all over yourselves at the thought of "green" technologies and fuels while ignoring that the VAST MAJORITY of them are more polluting then that which they aim to replace.

That's just plain stupid....but then we are talking about idots that back that sort of thing. And those that will make trillions off the backs of the poor folk that you all claim to care about but then screw over the first second no one is watching. What scum you all are.

No, the nation wins. If your fantasy were realised tomorrow and all the coal mining was stopped you would probably be dead within 6 months, either from starvation or someone taking what you have because they are more capable or more vicious then you. Be careful what you wish for 'cause you're one of those that will pay the price. The wealthy don't for the most part. They can run and hide, you can't.
