I dunno Bloo... I live in a not-at-all expensive cost of living area and I can't get prices anywhere near that.

Five kilograms of chicken for three bucks? Loaves of bread at 33c each? Pasta sauce, a dollar?

How many years ago was this trip?

I beatcha on blackberries though. They grow wild here. I can't even eat 'em all.

Albertson's was initially called Skaggs.

Yes. I agree. Always stock up on meat. Good days to go are late Saturday night/ early Sunday. That's usually when they mark it down. :)

White privileged as well as the negroid persuasion both pay visit to the Piggly Wiggly.

No, they pay homage.

Bow your asses down, regardless of color, to the Piggly Wiggly.

We had them here when I was little. Not anymore though :(

They had Osmonds color books and bubble gum cards there. :)

I watch for those markdowns like a hawk. Like a hawk I tellya. Cheapest I can get chicken breasts on major markdown would be about $1.75 a pound. Normally more like four bucks.

Again here in cheekin' country it goes for .99 cents a pound, but then a gain we have two chicken plants in the area...
