Parents and children were enjoying the weather in Dainewell Park in Sale, Greater Manchester, on Thursday evening when a blue Nissan Qashqai screeched into a nearby cul-de-sac.
Witnesses described how a passenger got out and started shooting at three youths standing close to the packed play park.
The youths fled the scene as horrified onlookers scattered. The gunman then got back into the car which sped off.
