Jerusalem police chief Yoram Halevy told the AFP news agency the man was "very mentally disturbed".

I read today that this guy tried to commit suicide by swallowing a razor blade while in that hopital. He was also taken into custody without much effort.

So, a very sad attack by a very sadly disturbed individual, but not a 'terrorist' attack.
