Without doubt, Britain - like the majority of countries around the world - is facing a few years of austerity to fix the shit that it is in but your OP claims that it is the next in line for collapse. It is not. Spain, Portugal and Ireland are - and a few others. But your OP is not accurate. Actually, Britain is doing slightly better than most countries.... although there is still the very real possibility of a double dip recession here - just like there is in the US.
