The police are dropping the investigations into violent crimes.....soooo...that shouldn't effect the crime rate...right?

Good thing they took guns away from law abiding citizens...of course, the criminals still have their guns...

Met police dropped 30,000 criminal investigations in first 24 hours last year

The Metropolitan police are increasingly dropping investigations into serious crimes such as sexual offences, violent attacks and arson within hours of them being reported, the Guardian can reveal.

The UK’s largest force “screened out” 34,164 crimes without further investigation on the day they were reported in 2017, compared to 13,019 the year before. In the first five months of 2018, 18,093 crimes were closed in 24 hours, putting the number for the year on track to exceed last year’s total.

The figures, obtained under freedom of information rules, included a growing number of sexual offence cases that were closed in a day, rising from 20 in 2016 to 49 in 2017 and 32 in the first five months of 2018.

That is what happens when you cut the headcount by 20000. Thank God we are not armed or there would be bodies everywhere. Just like the US.

Stupid thing to say. Bodies everywhere. :bs1:

And yes you are correct about the cut in the police force.

There aren't bodies everywhere n the U.S. In fact, the U.S. is less violent than the U.K......and as more Americans own and carry guns, our gun murder rate went down 49%, our gun crime rate went down 75%, and our violent crime rate went down 72%.... that is a fact.

Americans use their legal guns 1.1 million times a year, according to our Centers for Disease Control, to stop violent criminals.

Meanwhile, in Britain, your gun crime rate is going up....after you banned and confiscated guns from law abiding gun owners...and your violent crime against law abiding citizens is going through the roof all over Britain.....you banned guns, you confiscated guns, and all you did was make more victims of violent rape and robbery.....

He reads the tabloids.

Well so do I. But just for fun.

The government claims it does not have the funds to safeguard the people, but ignores the fact that billions of pounds are spent on a wasteful overseas-aid budget. PC lives. In the meantime, London is now referred to as the Wild West, with knife crimes committed daily and the death toll up to this summer surpassing that of New York City. The perpetrators are mostly African and Somali gangs, but cops in London are billeted in safe areas in order to protect the LGBT community, which is not threatened by anyone. PC strikes again. Rural towns are no better. They are targeted by drug dealers who are mostly Eastern European—meaning Albanians, Serbians, and Romanians—and extremely violent. Incredibly, rural police stations are closing at an alarming rate and there are no visible bobbies anywhere.

Prosecutions in Britain have now reached an all-time low despite crime hitting a record high, with a 7% drop in prosecutions and an 11% rise in crime. Five and a half million crimes were recorded. Still, Theresa May’s government allows an imam in Manchester to continue to preach hate against the British state, while pursuing Boris Johnson for making a joke about burka-wearing women looking like letter boxes. One couldn’t make it up, as they say. (The imam in question had encouraged the bomber who killed 22 people—many of them children—at a concert in Manchester last year.)

Yet again, it gets far worse:

It anuses me how you continue to say that the government confiscated everyone’s guns, when gun ownership there is at the highest level ever (thus the gun crime increase)

I think you posted on the wrong thread... I think you wanted the one about Australia gun crime...where it is increasing because criminals don't obey the gun laws in Australia....
