Brexit panic wipes $2 trillion off world markets - as it happened

And then Moody’s fired a warning shot at Britain, cutting its rating outlook to negative due to the economic problems caused by Brexit.

Donald Trump told Britons on Sunday he supported Brexit, repeating just days before the vote on June 23 that he thinks the UK would be better off outside the European Union.

Just like that. 2,100,000,000,000 gone and Americans think Trump would better handle the economy. Only the Bush Tax cuts lost this much money, but not as fast.

Every person who supports sovereignty for any nation should be rejoicing at Brexit. Britain had to make this move.

England is just as free, but will soon be a whole lot poorer.

Not bloody likely. Just last year the United Kingdom paid 8 billion plus pounds to belong to the EU club. That's almost as much as the whole home budget. 23 million pounds a day to belong to a whacked out socialist group out of Brussels.

Freedom from a FOREIGN REIGNING government in Belgium, and the stopping of having muslim scum shoved down your throat by those same Belgium scumbags, will actually save them TRILLIONS of dollars over the next 5 years!....But don't let common sense, and the cost of Freedom get in your way little socialist/commie prick!

R-Derp doesn't have a clue about the UK economy and could care less about it other than his pet web sites have told him that leaving is somehow Donald Trump's fault! If brains were gunpowder...Deanie couldn't blow his nose!

Specifically, why?

Shouldn't you blame Lame Duck President Barack Hussein Obama? May he be responsible for pushing Brexit over the top? Remember, he did threaten Great Britain with putting them at the back of the queue.

Even if one accepts that the receipts from the EU were around £9.2 billion (which excludes some payments not passing through the Treasury) the UK receives £1 for every £1.55 it actually pays.

Fact Check: how much does the UK actually pay to the EU?

Next time, do some fact checking.

Except you didn't really get to keep it. The loss showed up in deteriorating infrastructure.

I'm not holding much in the way of equities these days but despite all the Brexit bullshit I'm a few bucks ahead of where I was the day before the ballot. Of course I may be just a better stock-picker than most of those whining about the fall in the price of stocks they don't own. But then when I play I play for real - not just with toy money.

The GOP blocked stuff when Obama had large majorities in both Houses?

Never forget the ONE important question to be asked of oneself when elections are finished; regardless out of outcome:

"How can I profit from this?"

If the answer is "I can't" then you're submissive and most likely a Democrat.

Of course he supports it. This gives him a chance to buy some deflated real estate in the UK. Might eve be able to screw over some poor people in the process.
