It's a pretty big blunder. I don't know what he ordered or didn't order but this is a huge victory for Iran. This was top secret technology. I know this Administration is down-playing it but what else are they goona do? They wont even talk about it anymore. Obama's minions are now refusing to answer anymore questions on this subject. A couple of days ago Conunderground.com was the first to point out that the circumstances surrounding the “crash” of the top secret RQ170 Sentinel drone simply didn’t add up. And we were tight! The story continues to develop and it doesn’t look good!
To recap, first we were told that Iran might’ve shot it down and then the story changed to “the drone crashed on Iranian soil ”
After realizing that the Iranians were about to parade a perfectly functional drone with nary a scratch on it, the official story changed to “the drone landed because it wants to live” I kid you not that is the official story!

THE ANSWERS WILL SHOCK YOU – or maybe not.

The Drone was not recovered or destroyed specifically per Obama’s orders.

Several days ago he said emphatically that this story will change many times to cover for the fact that Obama gave this top secret stealth drone to Iran so the Chinese could get the technology from them.

My first thought was the Chinese jammed the or hi-jacked the drones control signal.

First from the video from Iran it does appear in my humble opinion to be a RQ170 that was hastily put back together as can be seen from the damage on the wing roots and from the poor tape and putty job the Iranians did as well as the damage on the leading edges. That said, this aircraft most likely ran out of fuel or suffered from a failure in it's flight control software and entered into a flat spin which if it did based on the design of the aircraft would suffer damage seen in the video. Now as the NCA has said they were aware of this aircrafts location and the damage suffered and chose not to proceed with any destruction measures beyond what was seen on the video then it can be said that the aircraft itself was A. damaged to the point where it did not make a differrence in terms of technology transfer B. entering into Iran on such a mission to destroy an aircraft that is clearly not all the leading edge would be too much of a risk and C. losing these types of aircraft under such conditions is not all that uncommon. So in the case of the RQ170 as it is an advanced drone yes, the loss of this drone will not harm US UAV or UCAV development as the aircraft had standard off the shelf technology which both China and Russia already have. These blended body wing UAVs are pretty common and the RQ 170 is not the newest one, so while its a loss in terms of its airframe yes, all of its data is highly encrypted and there is much more advanced technology that is flying the skies. So while yes the buck stops at the White House in terms of the loss of this aircraft, to blame the Presdent for causing the loss intentionally is rather like blaming the former President for causing the loss of the Space Shuttle Columbia because he was responsible for the NASA budget.
