15,000 is not massive, considering the size of the border, but it might constitute a Good Faith Effort.


If it has an significant impact, that would be very good, and Mexico would have taken the first baby steps in repairing relations between us.

I have met many, many hundreds of people from Central and South America who do NOT hate Mexicans. In any case, that should not be an issue regarding Mexico taking a responsible step in stemming the tide of people moving through their country to enter the US illegally. If we can work cooperatively with all of the countries involved, it should make the securing of our borders that much easier.
