This is going to caus shifting of many earth plates, one this big hasn't really hit for awhile. Other quakes will happen from after shocks.

357 miles seems a bit deep. Even for the Pacific Ocean.

It just said it was too deep for a Tsunami.

Yeah I didn't have a chance to check that . But some after shocks could cause one if not to deep I suppose.
 
Watch for unexpected volcanic activity on the islands volcano's... I'm looking at several observatory's automated systems and Mt Fiji is experiencing a quake storm and they are coming shallow.

8.2-magnitude earthquake strikes in South Pacific off Fiji


Sat August 18, 2018 - A massive 8.2 magnitude earthquake struck in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, roughly 200 miles off Fiji and almost the same distance from Tonga, according to the preliminary report from the US Geological Survey.

The earthquake struck just after midday Sunday and was almost 560 kilometers deep, the USGS said.

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said based on the data available, a destructive Pacific-wide tsunami was not expected, and there was no threat to Hawaii.

There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
