The Brazilians are paying pennies on the Gallon for Ethanol flex fuels, while we Americans are being raped and price gouged by American Big three Oil Companies.!!$?!! at the pump.!!$$$$!!

What part of " Ethanol as made in the US uses more GAS to make then it produces" Don't you UNDERSTAND?

there is plenty of evidence to dispute that opinion

Is ethanol energy-efficient?: Journey to Forever
New Rules Project - Agriculture - The Energetics of Ethanol: An Introduction and Link to Studies

from the 2002 USDA study...

Production of corn-ethanol is energy efficient, in that it yields 34 percent more energy than it takes to produce it, including growing the corn, harvesting it, transporting it, and distilling it into ethanol.

i feel we need to switch to a more efficient crop though, like algae or sweet sorghum

I've read that the ratio of energy consumed to enrgy created with corn is 1: 1.34

With sugar cane based enthanol is more like 1: 7
