Braves 4, Phillies 1

When they reach 200 wins it's worth talking about, but nobody right now of the kids could be projected for it.

Remember, just 8 years ago pedro was the best pitcher in baseball, now he's a has been.

cant say that, he can easily have pitched 2 years winning 15 each year or 3 more years as a 10 game pitcher with the yankee offense behind him....300 wins is automatic HoF

Moose should not be in the hall of fame. I don't care if he got to 300 or not.

I wouldn't bet on Lincecum's body staying together for a long career.

Come on. The kid is a freak. I remember people saying the same thing about Maddux in the early 90's. Non prototypical pitcher. Won't hold up under 25 starts a year.

Yeah but Maddux wasn't fireballer with a violent delivery.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Lincecum doesn't use much arm in his delivery from what little I've seen of the guy in live action, it's mostly legs and core. I would think that would offer him MORE mileage over the years.

And Crimson, I feel you on yanking Lowe like that. I've thought on many occasions that Manuel pulled a starter too early. That was a slap in the face to Lowe, he could have easily gotten an opening night shutout. I'm not sure how much better a guy's line could look like after 8 innings. You pay big bucks to bring in an ace, and then you yank him before he can complete his ace outing. 3 run lead, phils historically suck on opening day, etc, etc.

There were plenty of things Lowe had going for him, besides 3 lefties in a row to face. But I would have taken that gamble for my ace. Cox is one of a select few that can get away with a move like that without causing drama.

Paulie you are right, he doesn't use a lot of arm ... he's more of a full body pitcher.

Yes, the guy throws from the ear. 90% percent of his delivery is body. Same as Hamels. Both guys could alot of mileage. I see a couple Cy Youngs a piece for these two.

I don't know if i'd compare Hamels to Lincecum, I think Hamels uses more arm. He's had bouts of arm injuries through his short career. As young as he is, he already needs his beauty rest to function properly. That made for good jokes between friends last year, but in all seriousness, it got to the point where if he really needed the rest then so be it. Obviously it paid off.

It looks like he use a bunch of arm, because he so damn tall and lanky. I think that is where is injuries come from, he just doesn't have the body mass to support the way he bring the ball across his chest. I think he uses less arm than you think.

That was a tough video to go by, but he looks like he releases before he puts all of his body into it.

God I love that place, btw!
