Hi jet57 What state or party do you hail from?
What are your top pet issues that you find the most contentious. What areas do you have insights or solutions that you feel can redirect warring sides away from bashing and toward actually solving problems with a unified focus?

Thanks for joining us, and I look forward to seeing what brings you here, and what you are made of!

Yours truly,
Emily

I'm a progressive Green Democrat who defends Constitutional principles process and ethics FIRST, before party. www.ethics-commission.net

So I'm one of the few you will find who openly opposes the ACA mandates as unconstitutional while defending prochoice arguments, and who supporters Sanders/Socialist workers and Greens on cooperative economics, and Democrats on prison and health care reforms, while I voted for Trump and support Cruz/Tea Party in bringing federal govt back down to Constitutional limits and standards (shifting majority of social programs back to people and states by setting up localized self-govt through campus plans developed in my historic Democratic District www.campusplan.org www.earnedamnesty.org)

You can debate me on any number of issues, but more likely we will find it more productive to focus on points of agreement, and solutions that include people of all parties if we are going to save our nation from destructive politics.

Please feel free to start a thread with any issue you want to start. If you want me to read and chime in, just tag me with @ emilynghiem
and I will be glad to reply to whatever you post.

Hi Emily,

I don’t have a party; I vote nonpartisan: I think such people have referred to themselves as independent, but there is an independent party and I’m not with them either. I consider myself a centrist: I have been banned as a leftie from a conservative site, and I was banned from the Randi Rhodes site as a having a secret right-wing agenda so I guess I’m doin it right. ;)

I have a lot of experience with labor issues, and study American and foreign history. I’m a student of the Middle East and the actual feud, and it is just a feud, that’s going on there in my view. I am a gun owner and supporter of the second amendment, though I have issues with NRA gun thuggery rhetoric.

I come down somewhat left leaning on social issues and conservative on financial issues. I support the military but think it’s being misused. I’m pro choice, and pro religious freedom, though the evangelical right gives me heartburn, but I do enjoy talking God and spiritual issues.

Can’t really think of anything else at the moment without going into an essay, so I hope I’ve answered your questions.

Thanks again for the welcome.

People that post using written sounds of uhhm, uh, etc. are trying to appear clever and failing.

Really. I didn't know that. We can do some debate and you can determine whether I'm clever or not.

How'z that.
