That is just not true. Armitage wasn't the only one Cheney told to go public with the information. Armitage wouldn't have any reason to deliberately "out" Valerie Plame. In fact, to do that just to make headlines, would be illegal and he would be risking jail time by doing so. The President, on the other hand, pissed off that Valerie's husband wouldn't back up his yellowcake lie in a very public OP in the NYT, did have a reason for getting even and making an example out of Joe Wilson.
