I hope it is true. But we have been disappointed before.

well, the similar oil gusher that happened in mexico in the 1970's... it took 6 months, AFTER the relief wells were drilled, to get it to stop completely, to 100% stop all the oil from leaking.... so, i would not be so certain on the 100% part....

True...I hope technology has improved enough since then to enable this to happen. Or at least enable BP to capture more of the oil, even if not 100%. This has been a nightmare for everyone in the Gulf reason.

To me 100% contained would mean no oil movement. We still have a great deal of clean up even if the well is capped/plugged/nuked.
