Well excuse ME I guess, if I don't feel that a break on taxes and the same opportunity to strive for the American dream like all the rest of us, ought to be considered enough to mitigate the barbarism the settlers inflicted upon the Natives.

No matter what, barbaric acts perpetuated against other human beings deserve no free passes. Let's not be placing current day Islamic barbarism on some kind of pedestal compared to any other of its kind throughout history, like somehow it's so much worse. It's no worse, or no better for that matter, than the barbarism that I'm sure just about all of us here are a beneficial product of.

That's just the way the cookie crumbles dude. The world has always been full of this. The Roman empire would not have been so, nor any great civilization. England and other European powers were simply more powerful than the natives, and in that day, whoever was the more powerful, won the land. Why is that so many people are still caught up on paying and making their own country look like a bad guy for something that none of us were around to experience or commit.
