This is a modernism-urbanization diary inspired by the film Gangs of New York.

The 'newsies' were a breed of modernism pro-pedestrians who wanted to use the populism-pulpit to promote any value regarding free-speech democracy. The newsies were involved in Woodstock as well as anti-TrumpUSA street-protests and hence were multi-generational. The newsies believed strongly in the power of the press and wanted to adopt/embrace an American city as a 'beacon' of modern traffic rhetoric and therefore celebrated relevant symbolic Hollywood (USA) films such as Philadelphia, City Hall, and King of New York. The newsies chose to focus their attention in the Trumponomics-era toward the two populism-symbolic cities Boston (Massachusetts) and Philadelphia (Pennsylvania).

Boston was the celebrated city of schools, sports, and pedestrian podiums, and therefore, newsies-platforms. Bostonians were proud of Harvard, Boston College, and MIT and wanted to highlight their city as a 'beacon' of pedestrianism-philosophy. The Bruins (NHL), Red Sox (MLB), Patriots (NFL), and Celtics (NBA) were part of the 'Boston rhetoric' in the age of media-gauged pedestrian fanfare of society-oriented entertainment. Boston college students cared about the 'flavor' of American urban economic destiny, and the newsies wanted to highlight this 'populism market phenomenon.' So the newsies celebrated the consumerism-symbolism of the culturally-iconic urban-delicacy Boston Cream Pie as representative of pedestrian-taste (e.g., urban-culture hospitality).

Philadelphia was the celebrated 'City of Brotherly Love,' and served as a 'cultural-footstep' to its Big Brother across the way --- NYC! Philadelphians cared about urban hygiene, pluralism prudence, democratic media, and therefore newsies-consciousness. Philly-fans rooted for their hometown sports-teams who represented middle-class values such as the Phillies (MLB) and Flyers (NHL). Philadelphians were proud of their iconic 'Philly cheese-steak' street-food as representative of modern pedestrianism-oriented 'urban aesthetics.' So, the newsies hyped Philadelphia as the 'commercial hospitality mirror' of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The newsies were now pitting Boston and Philadelphia against each other as the proverbial 'Twin Towers' of traffic-ideology.

The fever of the 'newsies' reached the minds of politicians in D.C. who were now very conscious of modern aesthetics. Senators and Congressman learned about the CIA (their closeness to political imagination) and NSA (their involvement with pedestrianism securities) and were therefore sensitive about terrorism-paranoia in Boston and Philadelphia and wanted to safeguard 'populism landmarks' such as Harvard University and Independence Hall (in the public pulpit). So half the newsies were eating Boston Cream Pie (to celebrate academics-colloquialization), while the other half ate Philly cheese-steaks (to celebrate urban comforts). Who would win the proverbial 'newsies battle' of urbanization-symbolic street-fare and merchant-food? It all came down to the 2017-2018 NFL season (its 52nd) when the red-hot Carson Wentz (QB) led Philadelphia Eagles seriously challenged the media-domination of the established-titan Tom Brady (QB) led New England Patriots. Would Boston (academics-oriented) or Philadelphia (poetry-oriented) serve as American pride? What would be the view of anti-Western 'hellmouths' such as ISIS?

Nothing that a few free speech zones and some more airport checks and no fly lists won't fix. But they work for the construction of hidden totalitarian centralized government anyways, so this is not an issue.
