    Yeah, sadly only a tiny minority want to do away with the joke that is social security.

    Lewis at least in this instance, is 100% accurate.

    Boehner is an establishment repub, The type joined at the hip with democrats. Sure they argue over the little things to keep the crowd fired up.

    In the end, there still is no money in the fund.

    Boehner is establishment, but not moderate. He's clearly a conservative Republican, just not a revolutionary or hardliner (well, by historic standards he is a hardliner, just not by the standards of his caucus). Still, that makes him somewhat socialist, like almost every American politician.

    Lewis's criticism reminds me, perhaps unfairly, of Robert W. Welch Jr.'s claim that President Eisenhower might be a "conscious, dedicated agent of the Communist Conspiracy".

    This is the meat of the tea party movement.

    Everyone that doesn't toe their line is to be demonized.

    They are no different than the uber-Christians that once had their choke hold over the GOP.

    I'm not a tea party member or supporter, but I'm still trying to figure out how social security isn't an example of socialism.

    Nah. We are still in Primary Mode, which is the best time to do the Laundry. We will come together for the Great Exorcism. Count on it. :D :lol:
