BlackAsCoal - Socialist on board

I'm a democratic socialist living in Atlanta, and although I'm new to this board, I know several posters here who I've met over the years.

I'm an Oracle DBA and freelance writer, but I've also spent some time working for the US Congress as a Press Secretary.

I've spent much of my adult life involved in politics and grassroots activism .. and I was heavily involved in the fight against the fraud of electronic voting .. which we proved to be a fraud.

Oh yeah .. and I died last year .. saved by my dog.

I think I'm going to like it here.

What's with the NatGeo cover avatar?

There is no "world order" for socialists. Socialists aren't wedded to some some of word government, in fact they are nationlists in the best sense of the world, appreciating their own nation but also other nations and wanting to develop understanding between nations.

Yes, both parties offer us classist crypto-socialism with a capitalist face, don't they?

For the insiders there's that cozy socialism which takes care of their class from cradle to grave, generation after generation

For the rest of us there's the veneer of honest capitalism that demands that we pay for the insiders' happy state of affairs, or die trying.

Now that not really socialism, (nothing that classist can be socialist) but it's certainly not the government most Americans have signed onto, either.

My party? ... Did you actually read my post?

Sorry about your fear of the word "socialism" .. but you'd best get used to it.

American's are clueless as to what kind of government AND economy they have signed onto.
