The issue is whether universal marriage is a human right.

The issue is federal and state cash and prizes being withheld from a group of married people for the sole reason that another group of married people does not like them and wants those cash and prizes just for themselves. They don't want any nigg-, er, fags in the bonus pool with them.

Civil rights are civil rights regardless of it's based on race, gender, age, nationality, religion, sexual orientation, handicap, etc.

When one is discriminated against, we all are lessened.


But....there were many in the Civil Rights movement who didn't think equality applied to women either. It's just what happens with narrow minded people.

No. But it's silly to compare the two as if gays have suffered even half as much as blacks. It's silly to compare as if being black is the same as being gay.

And why is it so important for white gay people to make this point? Why do they feel so offended when blacks fail to see how the issues are in any way similar? To me it's just white guilt that's turned into a need to be a bereaved minority.

Gays as a group never have and never will have it as bad as blacks. Period.
