Black Republican: Don’t Equate Black Rights And Gay Rights

Ones a superficial biological difference, and the other a perversion of choice,i agree with steele.big.difference

There are quite a few homophobes in the black community. Combine that with a Republican and you've got Armageddon.

Homophobes have created a paradox when they say civil rights are strictly for black people.

Listen to Steele in the link. It's hilarious.

same with latinos and the latino community

The issue is whether universal marriage is a human right.

The issue is federal and state cash and prizes being withheld from a group of married people for the sole reason that another group of married people does not like them and wants those cash and prizes just for themselves. They don't want any nigg-, er, fags in the bonus pool with them.

He's right. By no measure have gays suffered more than blacks have. It took a civil war, three constitutional amendments, and several landmark pieces of legislation and Supreme Court rulings to undo the legal underpinnings of black inequality. Gays have created A Movement around wanting to marry and act like every gay pride parade might as well be the March on Selma.

So....a little legal discrimination is ok then? A majority really has to suffer for a great deal of time before it counts?

So, I guess we can discriminate against Catholics again. After all, they haven't really suffered legal discrimination all that much.....compared to black people.

I think gays will settle for a Stonewall riot, no constitutional amendments, and one or two (or however many it takes) landmark pieces of legislation to undo the legal underpinnings of gay inequality.

No. But it's silly to compare the two as if gays have suffered even half as much as blacks. It's silly to compare as if being black is the same as being gay.

And why is it so important for white gay people to make this point? Why do they feel so offended when blacks fail to see how the issues are in any way similar? To me it's just white guilt that's turned into a need to be a bereaved minority.

Gays as a group never have and never will have it as bad as blacks. Period.

There is no gay inequality.

There is no gay inequality.

They are being denied the same government cash and prizes awarded to other married people for the sole reason of their sexual orientation.

That is the definition of inequality.

Its as much against the moral and darwinian balance of genders,it may as well be legal to marry a horse or a.motorcycle.there has to be rules and boundaries.

If only black people could just not tell anyone that they are black.....they can avoid all the hassle of trying to get treated equally in this land of equality.
