Black Professor mocks Columbus Day with list of ‘15 most overrated White people’

Quote by ShootSpeeders:

"I can think of no american more overrated than MLK - a loser who never did anything but make speeches and encourage hatred of white ppl."

You may think so, but the united States or even the world would be a better place if we only adhered to his most remembered, most valid and truest contribution to the world that one should not be judged by the color of one's skin but by the contents of one's character.

If people had heeded that advise, there would be no Obama in the White House.

Martin Luther King Jr. over rated?? Don't think so!

Jealous much? Seriously, I couldn't name a single damn negro that can compare to Columbus. Believe me, I understand history and innovation as that's my hobby.

Let's be honest...The negro race couldn't even explore 50 miles off their own coast without our help. This just makes this moron appear to be a idiot.

Come on!!!

There were probably thousands of Africans to set sails and find new worlds - of course we will never know for sure, since they never had the brains to record their history - but were restricted by their utter and complete lack of knowledge how to build seaworthy ships (or any ships for that matter) and skills of engineering and navigation. Or may be they did, but the white man and that rascal Columbus stole it from them.

If it was not for Columbus, this so-called doctor/professor would be at best building mud huts in Senegal. Or Togo. Or somewhere in oh so happy Africa.

I can only agree with the man for denouncing Christopher Columbus whose memory would not be honored if the truth were told about his atrocities. He was first and foremost a degenerate child-raping, slave-mongering scoundrel who, by today's standards, deserves to be slowly boiled.

The fact that we celebrate his name speaks volumes for our culture.

Idiot,

Who wasn't? The truth is this man discovered the new world for us all. Shouldn't that be honored? Exploration and discovery is at the core of human nature.

Also the native people were the same way to other tribes. Hell, many of the tribes within central America joined with the Spanish to defeat the Atec empire.

Many tribes of Indian helped the white man. Helping us with trackers, etc.

Another hater of the white man and America, I see.

Stealing, raping, genocide = honor? We cannot turn back the clock but we can look back at history honestly.

Looking at history honestly is looking at history and its events in the context of their time.

This so-called professor is a frequent guest of Bill O'Reilley. Heaven knows why.

He would be far more credible as an owner of a fruit stand, selling nothing but sour grapes.

Yes, I and others have already addressed this point. He, along with others of his ilk, are clearly, what is termed as, "gate keepers" for the left. They are shilling for the establishment left. I agree with you.

The Shame of Noam Chomsky and the Gatekeepers of the Left, Part 1 (Oct. 4, 2007)

(Excerpted for Chapter 5 of Barrie Zwicker's Towers of Deception)

"Let us never tolerate outrageous conspiracy theories....."
-President George Bush, Nov. 10, 2001, to the United Nations General Assembly

"Look, this is just conspiracy theory."
-Noam Chomsky to author [Barrie Zwicker] in conversation, November 14, 2002.

"There is a principle which is a bar against all information, which is proof against all arguments and which cannot fail to keep a man in everlasting ignorance - that principle is contempt prior to investigation."
-Herbert Spencer

Thanks for the identical advice, George Bush and Noam Chomsky. But no thanks.

There's something very strange here. You'd expect George Bush, the most visible face of the American Empire, to employ the intellectually bankrupt phrase "conspiracy theory" as an element of his propagandistic rhetoric in defence of the official story of 9/11. On the other hand, about the last person you'd expect use the same phraseology the same way for the same purpose would be Noam Chomsky, known for the masterful deconstruction of propaganda.

I see you know nothing about exploration and discovery... because otherwise you would know that Leif Ericson has that claim, and before that of course the peoples who first inhabited the land... who actually had to trek all that way.

So, are you saying that even the so-called "Native Americans" were once IMMIGRANTS???

Columbus may very well be the most overrated person in the history of the world. Not only was he not the first guy to discover the Americas, he wasn't even the first white guy to discover the Americas! It takes quite a twist of affirmative action to consider Columbus to have made a significant contribution towards anything except the subjugation of large groups of people.

The arrival of europeans was the best thing that ever happened to the indians.

According to who? The natives? I guess we can't ask the Taino if they are better off, because they do not even exist anymore. So you speak on their behalf then, is that how that works?

They didn't even have a written language until white men came. They are a backward people and would still be living in caves but for whites.

The Taino didn't live in caves your ignorant bigot.

There were people in the Old World (for you and your fellow union teacher "educated" know-it-alls, Europe and Asia and Africa) who are no more. Visigoths, Avars, Huns and Carthagians ring a bell? They were exterminated by other people either with the same skin color or by people with different skin color.

Bottom line is: They are GONE!

If you truly believe in Darwinism, and as a a person whose post indicate that you are a liberal, as you must be, this should be no big deal. Wooly mammoths are gone. Dodo birds are gone. Passenger pigeons are gone. Dinosaurs are gone. Aztecs, Mayans, Tainos are gone.

Who gives a care!?

Survival of the fittest. In fifty or so years, white Christians will be here no more. The only thing that makes me happy about that is that I will not be here to see it, either.

Slavery is evil. I wish it never existed as it's morally wrong....End of discussion. Who ended it??? The white man.:eusa_boohoo:

Slavery was also extremely common. Until 200 years ago it was everywhere and no one questioned it. All races enslaved all other races.

Exactly!

Back then the resources of a conquered enemy were people.

Today, it is the minerals, the oil, the lumber, the agricultural products and by the way, it is still PEOPLE.

Ronald Reagan said it best; "If Martin Luther King Jr. is a myth, he is a necessary one."

Joel Osteen - The only preacher in America who can give an entire sermon without referencing a bible. Somehow, Osteen has convinced the world that he is a legitimate theologian rather than a schmaltzy self-help salesmen in pastor's clothing.

He aint the only one

images

Can anyone give a rough estimate how long ago was that either of these two so-called "Reverends" held a religious service?

On the other hand, Joel Osteen delivers a sermon each Sunday, that can keep a person thinking about it until next Sunday. And the fact that he does it without (usually) a reference to the Holy Bible, should endear him to the hearts and minds of liberals.

I would like to see Mark Lamont Hill, "Reverend" Al Sharpton, "Reverend" Jesse Jackson or even the three of them combined, fill an arena with 15,000 people, week after week, with or without the Bible.

If the disease problem had been reversed and the Europeans had been killed off by that, their technology would not have saved them.

You over state the effect of disease by an extraordinary level. Small Pox affected Europeans as well as the Indians.

The U.S. Government says 100,000 Indians died of small pox, Ward Churchill says 302 trillion gazillion did. What the government claims is probably low, what the left claims is utter fantasy. Further, the Eastern seaboard tribes were heavily affected, but the plains Indians were barely affected at all.

The Indians lost because they were disorganized tribes fighting with stone age weapons AND TACTICS. North American tribes were the equivalent of modern street gangs, as likely to fight each other as to fight the whites.

The exaggerations of the Left are legendary.

A few years ago a Democrat Congressman claimed that 200,000,000 (that's TWO-HUNDRED-MILLION) Africans died across the Atlantic, on the journey to slavery, and the dumping of their dead bodies in the ocean altered the migration pattern of the sharks.

It may or may not have been the same genius that claimed that some Pacific Island can tip over if there are too many people there.

Candidate for the Mark Lamont Hill Hall Of Fame.

I don't usually do tit-for-tat prattle with people who are very partisan and not up to my intellectual standards.
Your "intellectual standards"? LOL
You know, after a cursory investigation, I see you have been suspended indefinitely, or banned in at least one other forum, and who knows how many others? .

Congratulations on your stalking, but the FACT is that YOU are a fucking headcase. Your condition may prevent you from seeing it or even considering it, but YOU are a fucking fruitcake. Get help or get lost.

One gets the feeling that you're not a fan of the insane and extreme left.....

!

MLK was a racist. He talked about not judging people by skin color but he supported affirmative action. Look at actions, not words.

Today, it is the minerals, the oil, the lumber, the agricultural products and by the way, it is still PEOPLE.

People are not really valuable nowadays. It would be nice if we could have mexico's oil and minerals but if we made all mexicans into american citizens, they'd all go on welfare.

Why not take the day off and enjoy it (if you are a federal employee)? Here's a Black guy who is obviously successful and doing well financially but is still conditioned by left wing rhetoric to see every part of American society as a racial conspiracy. "Cant we all just get along"....Rodney King

Black Professor mocks Columbus Day with list of ‘15 most overrated White people’

Elvis Presley - Elvis didn't write his own songs (despite taking credit for them), barely played the guitar, and was a worse actor than the entire cast of Belly. Despite being a cheap facsimile of Little Richard, he is still known as the "King of Rock 'n Roll." Only in America...

Ronald Reagan - You can't have a conversation with a Republican without hearing Reagan's name invoked as the patron saint of American politics. As a result, Ronald Reagan moves closer and closer to the Mount Rushmore of our public imagination with each passing year. How easily we forget that Reagan was largely responsible for shutting down mental hospitals, bloating the military, shrinking benefits for the needy, sparking mass incarceration, and declaring ketchup a vegetable for our children's school lunches.

Justin Bieber - Sure, the kid can sing and dance. But is he better than dozens of black R&B singers? Nope.

Donald Trump - The Donald was always obnoxious, but he dipped to new lows this year by jumping on the Birther train. But that alone doesn't make him overrated. Just racist and dumb. No, Trump is overrated because people actually look to the self-important hack for legitimate political insight. The only thing more inflated than Trump's intellectual value is his net-worth, which is nothing close to the "many billions" he alleges.

Prince Harry - The Tito Jackson of the Royal Family. Prince Harry is something like the 234th heir to the throne, yet the media talks about him as if he were Prince Charles himself. I guess if we realized how unimportant he was, his ridiculous antics would be less newsworthy.

Tim Tebow - At best, Tebow is a 2nd or 3rd string player. Sure, he's led his team to some amazing 4th quarter come-from-behind victories. But that's usually because his crappy play over the first 3 quarters put his team behind. Tebow's celebrity -- despite the fact that he couldn't beat out mediocre Mark Sanchez for a starting spot -- proves an old football axiom: Black men throw interceptions; White men are "gunslingers."

President Obama's Economic Team - Despite wolf cries from the Right that President Obama is organizing a socialist revolution, the President's economic advisors are living proof that he's far from a Fabianist. Rather than delivering on the change that many people expected -- and that the Obama Administration continues to trumpet as fact against all evidence to the contrary -- Obama's closest economic advisors have continued to push forward a business-as-usual strategy that continues to reward big business, stimulate the wealthy, undermine fair trade, and deny the possibility of living wages for poor people around the globe.

William Shakespeare - There's no doubt that Shakespeare has a rightful place in the Western literary canon. Unfortunately, thanks to sycophantic critics and narrow-minded educational systems, Shakespeare is the only person who seems to matter to the average person. Billy's hulking presence in the Western literary imagination has led to the marginalization of other incredible writers of his era, such as Kyd, Middleton and Webster, whose work merits equal if not greater attention. Also, as a result of his deification, we ignore the fact that many aspects of Shakespeare's work -- such as the writing in Hamlet or the generally narrow range of female roles in his plays -- just aren't that awesome.

Babe Ruth - While there is no doubt that Babe Ruth was the most dominant player of his era, he was also the beneficiary of smaller playing fields and a segregated league. It may be cliché to say, but there's little doubt that Ruth would have lower career numbers if he had been forced to face Satchel Paige and his peers on a regular basis. Nevertheless, The Babe, rather than Hank Aaron or Willie Mays, continues to be the most celebrated figure in the history of the sport.

Kate Middleton - Almost no one get more media attention (and Huffington Post traffic) than Prince William's wife. What does she do again?

Joel Osteen - The only preacher in America who can give an entire sermon without referencing a bible. Somehow, Osteen has convinced the world that he is a legitimate theologian rather than a schmaltzy self-help salesmen in pastor's clothing.

The Whole NHL (except Wayne Simmonds) - Has anyone noticed that the whole season is about to be canceled? Nope, didn't think so.

Bill Clinton - Despite bombing Africa and the Middle East regularly, approving the Welfare Reform Bill, Prison Litigation Reform Act, and "three strikes" legislation, Black folk regularly regard Clinton as a messianic figure. He may have been better than Bush, but Slick Willie was far from a savior.

Eminem - Without question, Marshall Mathers is a dope MC. His first two LPs (particularly the second) will go down as classics and his latest releases, Recovery and Bad Meets Evil, are some of the best albums in recent years. Still, the "genius" and "greatest of all time" labels are too quickly attached to Em at the expense of more significant old school rappers like Kool G Rap and Big Daddy Kane, as well as contemporaries like Black Thought, Kool Keith, Jean Grae and Pharoah Monche.

Bill Walton - More than any other player in the history of the NBA, Walton embodies hyperbole. In his current role as an announcer, Walton routinely refers to at least eight different players as the "best player in the league, bar none" and refers to routine turnovers as "the worst play in the history of Western civilization." As a player, Walton put together one of the greatest college careers in NCAA history and led Portland to a championship. Still, a career full of recurring injuries and his sixth-man role in Boston make Walton's placement on the NBA's 50 Greatest Players list dubious at best.

Sarah Palin - Although her political career is likely over, Palin continues to be a powerbroker among Right wing extremists. Despite her lack of knowledge of policy or strategy, Palin is still a go-to pundit on conservative media outlets. No one destroys the myth of white supremacy more effectively than Sarah Palin.

I agree with the list...I would have added Chris Columbus... All of the Popes.. All Royalty in history...

There are quite a few royals who did incredible things for their nations and their people. Read some history some time. You'll learn something.
