The black imprisonment rate skyrocketed with the so called war on drugs which has imprisoned a lot of people of all colors for drug related crimes, but has disproportionately targeted blacks. Most blacks who have plead guilty did so out of having bad public defender type lawyers in a justice system that has proven itself to be biased against blacks. No one denies that a lot of convicted blacks have been rightfully convicted of crimes they have committed, but the lengths and types of sentences are most certainly not fair. Just as the article stated, of those who were wrongfully convicted and later exonerated through DNA testing most were black men.

For the first time you actually said something right and factual. Most blacks who loved the Clintons didn't realize that more blacks were locked up and incarcerated than under Bush, though this doesn't make Bush better in any sense.

1. Blacks DO commit crimes disproportionately. However not at the SAME rate as they are imprisoned.

2. Yes drug laws are designed to lock up blacks/hispanics, we can agree here. Yes, it's a shame blacks/latinos continuosly fall into the trap. There are plenty of "traps" that the military-prison complex has set and it doesn't take a "dummy" to fall for them. The prison industry knows what it's doing.
