here's a melancholy tune that was nonetheless great for up-close slow dancin' with my high school girlfriend way back when...

and dang... every time I hear this tune, the scent of her favorite perfume comes back to me like a fragrant summer breeze... honest to god, even 40+ years later, I can smell it as if she were here with me now...

okay, let's see...

her favorite scent was lightly floral... mebbe lavender and rose... with mebbe a hint of rosemary for bite...


then, after we'd have danced awhile, a nice li'l bit of her body's own essence would be added to the mix...

high school gyms didn't have air conditioners back then...

and she didn't use a deodorant...


eta: now that I think about it... of the gals I've been with over the years,

the gals who didn't use a deodorant were the ones who made me the hottest...
