Birthers Show Their True Colors While Eating Their Own

…both our parents are American citizens as were our grandparents on both sides and we are both "naturalized" citizens. We can't run for president, why should McCain be able to?????

Um…no…

If both of your parents were American citizens, then so are you – you’re not ‘naturalized’:

Bases for Citizenship: Birth, Blood, or Naturalization

The U.S. recognizes citizenship according to two fundamental principles: jus soli (right of birthplace), and jus sanguinis (right of blood). Under jus soli, a person receives American citizenship by virtue of being born in the United States. By contrast, jus sanguinis confers citizenship on those born to at least one U.S. citizen anywhere in the world. A person who does not qualify under either of these principles may seek U.S. citizenship through the process of naturalization.

It’s true that those naturalized may not run for vice president or president; but you and McCain are qualified to be president (assuming you’re 35 or older), and Obama is qualified to be president.

If you want to believe you’re ‘naturalized’ and not eligible to be president, that’s fine, it’s your business.

But that’s not the case for Obama and McCain.

Like I said, I have the paperwork to prove it. I still remember questioning the Lawyer as he swore me in...I swore not to form alliances with any foreign princes and prince Charles was single at the time. He just told me to shut up and say the oath....

Jus Soli and Jus Sanguinis is what a person needs to be born from in order to be president. That insures total allegiance from birth. Obama's father wasn't a citizen and if Obama was born to his mother in Kenya even though she was a American citizen, she could have not transfered citizenship to him because of the laws at the time on the books. She was to young. Obama is at best a statutory citizen but not a natural born citizen that Article 2 Section 1 specifically calls for. McCain was born to two U.S. citizens like all other post grandfather clause presidents.

Snopes is a biased husband and wife team who is pro Obama and they have been caught fabricating facts to fit their agenda. They are a now unreliable source.

David and Barbara Mikkelson in the San Fernando Valley of California started the website about 13 years ago - and they have no formal background or experience in investigative research. After a few years it gained popularity believing it to be unbiased and neutral, but over the past couple of years people started asking questions who was behind it and did they have a selfish motivation? The reason for the questions - or skepticisms - is a result of snopes.com claiming to have the bottom line facts to certain questions or issue when in fact they have been proven wrong.

Your comment doesn't make any sense. If your parents were citizens, you're a citizen.

Obama had a natural born citizen as a mother, and he was born in the US. He's a citizen.

There are only two kinds of US citizens. Natural and naturalized.

Right, Obama is a citizen but not a natural born citizen. There is also a native citizen.

And they were claimed to be pro-Bush when they were debunking the false rumers about George W.

Show any evidence they've been "caught fabricating their facts." They have not done so.

It looks suspiciously like you're cuting and pasting from a blog or article. Where's the support for your claims?

Right, Obama is a citizen but not a natural born citizen. There is also a native citizen.

There is absolutely nothing in US law to support that. There is US Citizen and US National. US National currently applies only to residents of American Samoa and Swain's Island (Guam, the Phillipines, Puerto Rico and US Virgin Islands used to fall into this category).

Nowhere in US law has "Natural Born Citizen" ever been defined.

Yes it has. Read Minor vs Happersett.

You really have some bona fide white supremacists on this board.

I've run into two of you so far.

Amazing.
