..Bin Laden’s Death Comes at a Price: Was It Worth It?

Mission accomplished! Osama Bin Laden is dead nearly ten years after the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. His demise has created an instant groundswell of renewed patriotism and pride across the U.S. However, if we look back over the last 10 years, it's evident Bin Laden's death has come at a huge price. The two wars in Afghanistan and Iraq have cost the U.S. about $1.8 trillion and counting, plus over 4700 dead and more-than 43,000 wounded soldiers.

Gorenstein seem to believe is was, even though it did not kill our economy, it damaged it and how severe is yet to be known. It's not over because Sam is over. That is a false sense of security that would be a bad mistake. We made that mistake before lets not do it again. There are terrorist among us just waiting for the righ time to stirke and they will. Because their resolve is much stronger than ours.

I'm not sure how anyone can objectively look at all that and celebrate the death of Osama Bin Laden unless you have a very short memory. But if you disagree or feel I have left out some costs or benefits, feel free to add and discuss them in the comments.

While it is true that finding and killing OBL came at a great cost, just look at the cost to the Muslim world. And I would have to disagree with your last statement. Their resolve is not greater than ours. The proof is in the end result.
