I routinely follow Congress and here's their latest antics:

Sen. Olympia Snowe [R-ME] introduced S. 1044: A bill to amend title 10, United States Code, to authorize the Defense Commissary Agency to conduct a pilot program at military institutions to be closed or subject to an adverse realignment under a base closure law under which a commissary store may sell additional types of merchandise.

H.R. 1935: To provide for free mailing privileges for personal correspondence and parcels sent to members of the Armed Forces serving on active duty in Iraq or Afghanistan.
Rep. Peter King [R-NY3] introduced this bill.

H.R. 1941: To improve the provision of Federal transition, rehabilitation, vocational, and unemployment benefits to members of the Armed Forces and veterans, and for other purposes.
Rep. Sanford Bishop [D-GA2] introduced this bill.

H.R. 1942: To amend title 10, United States Code, to improve the mental health assessments provided to members of the Armed Forces deployed in support of a contingency operation.
Rep. André Carson [D-IN7] introduced this bill.

H.R. 1945: To direct the Secretary of the Navy to name the next available Naval vessel after United States Marine Corps Sergeant Rafael Peralta. Rep. Duncan Hunter [R-CA52] introduced this bill.

Rep. Thomas Petri [R-WI6] introduced H.R. 1947: To amend the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 to allow members of the Armed Forces who served on active duty on or after September 11, 2001, to be eligible to participate in the Troops-to-Teachers Program, and for other purposes.

Rep. Ted Poe [R-TX2] introduced H.R. 1948: To amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to allow employers a credit against income tax equal to 50 percent of the compensation paid to employees while they are performing active duty service as members of the Ready Reserve or the National Guard and of the compensation paid to temporary replacement employees.

Sen. Amy Klobuchar [D-MN] introduced S. 1139: A bill to amend the Higher Education Act of 1965 to provide that interest shall not accrue on Federal Direct Loans for members of the Armed Forces on active duty regardless of the date of disbursement.

S. 1141: A bill to exempt children of certain Filipino World War II veterans from the numerical limitations on immigrant visas and for other purposes.

S. 1106: A bill to authorize Department of Defense support for programs on pro bono legal assistance for members of the Armed Forces.

Sen. Robert Menéndez [D-NJ] introduced S. 1109: A bill to authorize the adjustment of status for immediate family members of individuals who served honorably in the Armed Forces of the United States during the Afghanistan and Iraq conflicts, and for other purposes.

S. 1112: A bill to amend title 38, United States Code, to grant family of members of the uniformed services temporary annual leave during the deployment of such members, and for other purposes.

Rep. John Carter [R-TX31] introduced H.R. 2025: To amend title 32, United States Code, to require the Secretary of Defense to provide funds to support the use by a State of the National Guard, State defense forces, and law enforcement agencies in securing an international border that forms part of the border of the State, and for other purposes.

Sen. Mitch McConnell [R-KY] introduced S. 1089: A bill to provide for the introduction of pay-for-performance compensation mechanisms into contracts of the Department of Veterans Affairs with community-based outpatient clinics for the provision of health care services, and for other purposes.

Rep. Charles Rangel [D-NY15] introduced H.R. 2046: To amend title 10, United States Code, to ensure that members of the Armed Forces who are being separated from active duty receive comprehensive employment assistance, job training assistance, and other transitional services.

H.R. 2048: To expand the eligibility for the provision of Government headstones, markers, and medallions for veterans buried at private cemeteries.
Rep. Timothy Ryan [D-OH17]

Rep. Patrick Tiberi [R-OH12] introduced H.R. 2051: To direct the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to assist in the identification of unclaimed and abandoned human remains to determine if any such remains are eligible for burial in a national cemetery, and for other purposes.

H.R. 2052: To direct the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to establish a registry of certain veterans who were stationed at Fort McClellan, Alabama, and for other purposes.
Rep. Paul Tonko [D-NY21] I think this has to do with possible contamination and subsequent illness

Rep. Bill Flores [R-TX17] introduced H.Con.Res. 56: Expressing the sense of Congress that Members of Congress, the President, and the Vice President should donate their salaries to the Treasury for reducing the national debt if members of the Armed Forces do not receive pay or allowances because of a shutdown of the Federal Government or because the Government is unable to fund such pay and allowances because the public debt limit has been reached.
