popular music pretty much sucked the year I was born (1952)...

but that's okay... I was a baby so it didn't really matter...

the upside is that I was later old enough to hear all the tunes mentioned in this thread when they first came out...

There wasn't a Billboard Hot 100 back in '52.
Still, there was some good Blues back then.
